Iceheart
Note to self - buy plastic totes to store books. Or, you know, bookshelves.
Iceheart
LOOK AT ALL THE BOOKS I JUST BOUGHT! I focused on the stuff I know is popular. Tomorrow, bags are $5 each! More obscure stuff, here I come! P.S. I picked up Atonement because Benedict Cumberbatch is in the movie. REESE, when I'm done with it we should have another movie night. Iceheart
Auto Shoujo Name Generator. My favorite so far is "He Is My Ramen." Although "Delinquent Kitten Sensei" sounds all kinds of adorable.

R.CAllen
One of America's greatest living authors, Ward Just, seems to be working on his next book. This is good news for me, I worried that he'd retired with 2011's Rodin's Debutante.
R.CAllen
Two something randoms : 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF2fZ2iOXhk Douglas Adams on the David Letterman show in 1985. 2. Madeleine Enright was the wife and widow of a writer I like named D.J. Enright. Madeleine Enright died aged 92 at the end of May. Sad.
Ms. Spam
My library says Craig Johnson's Serpent's Tooth is on the shelf but they LIE. Colin Dexter's complete works are not owned by the library which pisses me off. Why I mad at library?

R.CAllen
One something random : 1. The recent death of Ann C. Crispin from cancer at age 63. I was especially fond of her Star Trek novel about Spock's parents. After seeing her username in the AOL chatroom devoted to Sci-Fi and Fantasy I instant messaged her and asked her some questions (Q: Is Bria really dead? A:"as a doornail") in what must have been the fall or winter of 1998. Jedi Cool's chapter-by-chapter recaps and comments of and on her Han Solo Trilogy can be found here and here and here. Guest Lotus1225
Where have they gone, Lotus? They went nowhere. I am just too busy making minion beanies (and costume). Everyone loves them these days.
ShadowDog
A.C. Crispin died? ****, I liked her. Took her writing seminar at DragonCon in 2001. She was good at it. Weird and irritable in person, but that was real. She didn't put on airs. Not a spectacular writer, but above average. Her V and Star Trek books were good. Sorry to hear this. Cashmere
That's adorable, Lotus! My something random about books: I only read Goodreads reviews after I finish a book. They are so all over the place that I would never read anything if I waited for something with mostly good reviews!

Darth Krawlie
I'm only a third of the way through it, but Un Lun Dun by China Mieville is very similar to neverwhere in all the greatest ways. This is my third Mieville book and I gotta say I'm a big fan.

Ms. Spam
I checked out this book, "LOST CATS.... something something" that I thought would be interesting but it was kind of dry. This lady lost her cat and she was looking at the posters that people put up and ended up collecting different lost cat posters and looking into the personalities of people who write lost cat posters. I couldn't finish it. Me. A Crazy Cat Lady.
Sheep Murderer
I have a Kindle and it is amazing. That being said, the free old books available on Amazon can be freaking hilarious. Between the topics and the long titles, I am amused.
