Iceheart
how do you even pronounce that word?? MY-ur. I remember being around five, and saying something like "Daddy, that word is ALL WRONG! J does NOT make that sound!" and my dad trying to explain the concept of silent letters. And we're tied! I'm behind by about 20 books compared to years past. I'm just proud that I'll have read all of the existing Song of Ice and Fire books in four months time. Kokeshi_Doll769
I love the way new books smell. I also love the way old books smell. And. I love the way in-between books smell too.

Cashmere
I need a new bookshelf like woah. My husband's roleplaying game books render our current 2 insufficient.
Iceheart
I'm surprised he can fit them on all the shelves! All of my shelves have the narrower shelf on top, largest on the bottom format, and my D&D books only fit on the bottom two shelves.
Cashmere
Yeah, they are on the floor between bookends right now. Good call on the tall shelves though. I will have to find one that works.
Iceheart
I usually just keep mine in the closet, packed in a backpack with my gaming notebook, pencils, and dice, ready to go. It's like a bug-out gaming bag
Iceheart
Someone write this fanfic for me: Kock (I hereby declare this the Kirk/Spock ship name if no one has declared it already) and Peeniss (Katniss/Peeta, if you've been living under a rock) go on a double date. R.CAllen
ZOMG Goodreads sends you e-mails of recently published books by the authors you've listed on your shelves if I had known they did this incredibly useful thing I would have signed up years ago

Darth Lohr
Well, as I just told Torch in another forum yesterday... (I have never claimed to be anything other than behind the times. I still have a dumb-phone. I use a VCR. My car has a tapedeck.)

Darth Krawlie
Other than comics, I'm pretty sure I'm only ever gonna be able consume books through audio for the next few years, at least until Lyra is able to entertain herself for more than 5 seconds at a time. I can listen to a couple hours at work, which really helps the day go by. I started doing it a few years ago and whenever I'd finish a book/series, I'd forget about it again for months. Glad I'm doing it again.
Iceheart
The funny thing about that is, all my breastfeeding friends read a ton, because they're stuck in one place for so long. You should have been a woman, Jacob.
Darth Lohr
Awww. You're a luddite! And that's okay. Thanks, though for me it's less about protest than it is lack of time and money!
