But that’s just it. Connor was supposed to be 10 in T2. He wasn’t playing a teenager. He was playing basically the same age as Anakin given a year or so. Yeah that’s one of the few flaws in the film because there’s no way that’s a 10-year-old kid doing all the things Connor did. He seemed more like 12 at least. But still, if Furlong was older playing younger it still worked. There was no reason the same couldn’t have been done for Anakin. I prefer having that being a “flaw” of the film than the flaw we got with kid Ani. The real kicker is Lucas set Anakin at such a young age because he didn’t think an older kid would be believable as a someone who was heartbroken to leave his mother. But THAT’S EXACTLY how “a few years older” Connor was played in T2. It’s not like he stopped missing Sara Connor just because he turned 10 or 11. The character hinged on wanting to salvage his relationship with her. James Cameron just knew how to get that out of his young thespian and write the story around it.

I don't think its a fair comparison for many reasons. Furlong was about 4 years older than Lloyd when making the movies. Which when the difference is between 13 and 9 while filming is a huge difference. If you wanna say Anakin should have been older in TPM then fine, but thats your issue. The difference between building the movie around a teenager and a little boy.

That trailer is amazing! My above list holds. TWOK is a transcendent film. At its core, it's just a good Star Trek story. On top of that, it was a sequel that allowed Kirk to age and become fallible, which was a unique twist. It also was sort of the real modern reinvention of Trek. Yes, TMP had updated the look and effects, but TWOK set the tone for pretty much every Trek that's come since, save for TNG, which was very much Gene making a sequel to TOS after he lost control of the films. But then on top of all that, it was a great sci-fi story, playing with one of the core genre tropes-- man playing god. On the character side, to show Kirk's aging arc, they give him a son who hates him, and an old enemy who he straight up forgot about coming for the hardest revenge he can get. And oh yeah, 80's ILM doing some of it's best work ever to create space sequences that even at over 40 years old, are still some of the most realistic spaceship scenes ever seen in a movie that still hold up. All of these elements, and literally none of them missed the mark. Even Shatner's acting is on point in a way that is above and beyond anything else he's ever done.

The one thing that I think stands out for the Series-X, is that your digital purchases on the original Xbox 360, will transfer over to your Series-X. I haven't seen any hint that my PS3 digital titles will do the same.

I'm not going to go through a ranking list. I'll just say that The Wrath of Khan is at the top. It's right up there with my favorite television episode "The Balance of Power". That episode, along with "The Wrath of Khan", showed why James T. Kirk was a legendary captain in Star Fleet. His decisions, along with the excellence of his crew, were put on full display within both of that episode and film. They both showed a Starfleet Captain in complete control of the situation.

Not to rehash all this again, but all this week they’ve been running The Terminator franchise on one of the networks. I caught T2 a few times and left it on while I did whatever I was doing. I couldn’t help but think how underrated Edward Furlong’s performance as John Connor was. That's the Anakin we should’ve gotten. If you are going to revolve a major franchise around a kid character, James Cameron showed how to do it. Yes it’s two very different storylines with one being R rated. But in the wrong hands T2’s John Connor could’ve gone a similar route as Anakin in TPM.

This engine is woke! HAHA!

TPM is the most anti-woke film out there! All the good guys are white. All the bad guys are foreign. There’s a Karen giving attitude and telling everyone what to do. The good guy planet of white people keeps the non-whites away from their beautiful lands and cities and forces them to live in the swamps. Even the good guys who are not white (like Panaka and the Jedi Council) are constantly questioned and dismissed even though they are right.

I'm sorry, I have to admit I've never even seen the OG series even though I'm a big super-heroes comic book fan. But I can now since it's all on D+! Just haven't, like, gotten around to it yet. I've heard nothing but good things!

PS5! I have both PS5 and the Series S, the S mostly just collects dust. When you also have a gaming PC, there's not much reason to have an Xbox IMO. Plus, PS5 has the PSVR2, I've been playing RE8 and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge. That giant vampire lady in RE hits way different when she looks like she's in the same room as you LOL.

Q made the lower team. We only have 12 girls, though, which is not great. I was hoping they would move up some of the younger girls, but the younger team coach wants her own team and kept all of them. I'm hoping we get a few more soon, otherwise 1 sub is going to be rough. She went to an evaluation with the far away club. It was mostly against older girls so she left very frustrated and thinking she sucks. There were so many girls there that I don't think they really have an open spot for her, I'm estimating 50-60 girls. It was 3 teams (2 older, 1 her age) combined, so I think they are trying to see if they can cobble together a second team in her age group. We heard all the parents complaining about the costs and hidden fees to go to tournaments in San Diego on short notice, so I'm kind of thinking bullet dodged. Like we are talking almost 5 figures a year for this team. The coach also has not called us in the promised 24 hour time frame, so I think she's trying to gather enough players for a second team. Some of the girls came with attitudes so I'm not sure it's a healthy environment, anyway. We may offer to guest play in some tournaments, but their 2nd teams are playing in her club's tournament so she wouldn't be able to guest play there anyway. I know the lower team closer to home is the right answer. It's convincing her that's the hard part. I'm glad she is in a really healthy place with the new school, I just need to keep her emotionally healthy so she can develop confidence to one day play at that higher level again. But that will never happen if she keeps playing on teams where her teammates continually cut her down or throw fits about losing.

I think I've had my PS5 for a little over 2 years. It's great that I can pop in any (that I know of) PS4 game in the PS5 and it will run. Some games will get the PS4 Pro version of 4K, while games like Days Gone will get a visual boost and 60FPS gameplay. It's also cool that you can buy any VNME drive that meets Sony's required specs and just pop it in. I dropped a 1TB NVME drive in it last year, for just a little over $120. Adding 1 TB of fast storage requires the purchase of Microsoft's official 1TB or 2TB cards, which once exceeded $179 and $249 to purchase. Astro's World is a really fun game, btw. Some call it just a demo, but feels like a full blown Mario or Sonic game. I got the Series-X about 2 months ago, because of all of the rumors about an updated console, without a optical drive. I wanted the BC with older games from the OG Xbox and 360, plus it would be cool to play some of the Xbox One games I'd missed out on. I skipped the Xbox One, because I've had substantially better PC hardware that played all of the games available on that console. I've been able to pick up some $5 games on clearance at Walmart, but I do feel that Game Pass is pretty much killing physical media for the console. It's killing game sales and kind of hurts the market and devs. MS just shut down the developers of the highly praised Hi-Fi Rush and they've been buying up studios, only to turn around and cut staff. The console is $50 less expensive than the PS5, but Sony throws in a free game, plus Astro's World. Personally, I feel that Sony's 1st party offerings are some of the best in the industry. It's not really a thing, if you only plan on playing a sport title, here or there. Speaking of Sports, I really love playing Forza Horizon 4 and 5. There's so much to do in those games, besides racing.

The cabinets are mostly done. Moving on to installing floors next!

I have a PS5 and have been really pleased with it. No issues with it and thoroughly enjoyed all the games. The backward compatibility with the PS4 games helps a lot as well. Some have a free upgrade to PS5 version - for example Jedi Fallen Order I grabbed several years back on PS4, then in prep for the second game I installed it on the PS5 and it gave option for free upgrade to enhanced PS5 version. Lots of nice touches like that.

I’m too old. I didn’t like the cartoon cause it was based on the era of X-Men that I hated. Also, seemed like too much Gambit. I hate Gambit.

Hyperspace shouldn't make a ship rip through another ship. It's warping space and time, pretty much making a worm hole for itself. Those tiny ships in Star Trek, would have been ate up by the deflector shields of the Enterprise. Oh JJ!
