  1. I really wanted to use sera, but couldn't part with what I had. I haven't used Cole once. As a matter of fact, he's got 16 pts waiting to be used. But I've done some of his side quests, made him more human, etc. My next playthrough I'd like to use sera.

  2. the initial set up of mine took around 2 hours, but that was because of downloading updates, and i had put mario kart 8 in and it also had a bunch of updates to install. but after the initial set up, i've had no issues whatsoever with the system or wi-fi. it's been butter. my son plays it more than me, (especially now that i have an xbox one) and being that we live in a 2 bedroom apartment, i really love the wii u gamepad. i can watch tv or play my xbox one while he can play a mario game or whatever on his gamepad.

looking forward to the new zelda. from the sounds of it, it's an open world. that's awesome. my son and i walked through WW on wii u recently. i played 90% of the game, but he just really enjoyed watching me play and loved the story and everything else that came with the game.

  3. Me/Elf/Mage- focus is magic attacks, defense and knight enchanter.

Dorian- focus is fullblown magic attacks and necromancy.

Cassandra- focus is attack, shield and templar.

Iron Bull- focus is fullblown attack and reaver.

I've used this group since i've collected Dorian and Iron Bull. I've used Cassandra since the beginning. Part of me wishes that i had used Solas instead of Dorian, because i really would have liked a rift mage in my party instead of a necromancer, but i just really liked dorian from the moment i met him, and i just never enjoyed solas.

out of all the characters, iron bull is probably my favorite. he's an absolute stud. the way i have my party set up, works out pretty well for me. i'm sure there's better out there, but i like having two mages standing back (although, now that my character is a knight enchanter, i don't stand back nearly as often as i used too, especially epic battles. rifts and such, i usually stand back.) and two warriors wreaking havoc, while i cast barrier, dispel, etc. when needed.

It's funny how i beat the hildenbrand dragon. i was level 14 at the time, i didn't have my party outfitted with anti-fire armor, i just figured i could wing it. well, after having the dragon down to 1/4 of life, 3 of my party members were dead, and i had one potion left. i decided to run. i ran towards the cove and fell into the water and drowned. once that happened, my entire party was summoned up, all members with half life, and i was able to slay the dragon. pretty cheap, but i'll take it. next time, i'll be better prepared and actually equip armor that makes sense.

as for now, i'm just trying to hit as many rifts as i can, hit some sidequests along the way, and hit the next main mission. i am considering my next dragon slay. storm coast, i'm thinking.

one more thing? has anyone come across any giants? i did at the desert/oasis area. are there more? i slayed him, but if there's more, i'd like to run into them. they seemed easy enough.

  4. Just finished 'wicked eyes and wicked hearts' a part of the main quest. I've got the options unlocked to be a knight enchanter or a rift mage. Did a hard save and I'm messing around with knight enchanter right now. I'll try rift mage soon and decide between the two.

I did defeat my first dragon today. The one in Hinterlands. I'm currently level 16.

No. What you saw were people from outside of the Ferguson area come in and start ****. I live in stl. I've worked in the Ferguson area the last 2 years, and what you saw on tv is not what represents Ferguson on a day to day basis. But hey, go ahead and eat what the media feeds you.

David, come on. It was a Star Wars joke. I have never been to Ferguson, and before the apparently off-key Tatooine comment, have never claimed to know what it is like.I'd like to think I'm smarter than to act like I know how a town "is" better than somebody who actually lives there.

I suck at finding sarcasm and jokes in posts sometimes.

This is why I avoid the lyceum. It's such a serious place until it's not. Back to avoiding the lyceum.

  6.

What I'm really disappointed in, is how many people just assume Ferguson is a thug/hood/****ty town. And that's soooo far from the truth.

Sorry, but we saw it on TV. And all towns have exactly one defining characteristic, much like the environment of Tatooine.

No. What you saw were people from outside of the Ferguson area come in and start shit. I live in stl. I've worked in the Ferguson area the last 2 years, and what you saw on tv is not what represents Ferguson on a day to day basis. But hey, go ahead and eat what the media feeds you.

  7. I am soooo glad I never saw this thread. I work this area for frito lay, and two of my grocery stores were heavily affected with this mess. I'm thrilled everything is back to normal. What I'm really disappointed in, is how many people just assume Ferguson is a thug/hood/shitty town. And that's soooo far from the truth.

  8. the theater chain in my area let's you view movies that start before noon for $6. when i go to the movies, more often than not that's what i try and shoot for.

  9. i remember seeing a trailer attached to a movie i saw early spring/summer. doing some research, this movie was scheduled for a july release this past summer. got shelved 5 weeks before theater debut because there was still a long ways to go, visual effects wise, for a finished product.

  10. i'm a level 8 elf/mage. my next main quest is 'in your heart shall burn', after forming an alliance with the mages. going to try and close the breach once and for all. as for side quests, i've done a fair amount. i have 7 members in my party, collected some shards, i mistakenly ran into a dragon and he kicked my ass in about 5 seconds, found all 6 campsites in the hinterlands, so i've done a bit of exploring. i mistakenly, briefly, flirted with Cullen. trying to form a romance with cassandra and possibly newcomer serah. will see what happens.

  11. How fitting. Only moments ago, I just finished up cleaning a little one's ass and legs from a fart that turned into a shit. At 230 in the morning. I don't salvage anything. Socks, underwear, pajama bottoms and wash cloth in the trash bag, immediately into the dumpster.

Ah, the joys of parenthood. Back to bed I go.

  12. Maleficent - B+

Pleasantly surprised. Jolie was wonderful, story was good and and I really enjoyed the world of Maleficent. The 3 pixies were dumb, though.

    The Interview - B-

It was alright. Sometimes James Franco is nails in a movie, other times, he just completely sucks. For most of the movie, I thought he was pretty terrible, but he got better at the end. Silly movie throughout, the scene towards the end in the film editing room was pretty ridiculous (dumb), but but I'd view it again.

  13. Watched it last night. Enjoyed it, and overall, I enjoyed the hobbit trilogy. Everyone expected an epic trilogy like LOTR. That doesn't come around often.

I do feel like the ending was rushed a bit. Epic 5 army battle, etc., then when war is over, white orc is dead, bilbo is all like 'bye, see ya later!'

In terms of making, I feel like the hobbit trilogy relied too heavily on cgi and special effects and not enough miniatures, extras, etc. And was Billy connolly/Ironfoot cgi? He didn't look like a real dwarf at all.

All that negativity aside, I really enjoyed Martin Freeman as Bilbo in the trilogy. I liked the many silent expressions he made throughout and the witty charm.

  14. he's a great kid and ridiculously handsome. thanks guys. it's kind of nice, i can step back, watch him grow, admire (usually) how he acts and behaves, cherish that caring heart of his and i can already see what kind of person he's going to grow in to be (potentially anyways). makes everything worth it. no matter how big of an eff up i've been in my 31 years on this earth, i can look at this kid and pat myself on the back and at least be proud that i've got this parenting thing down. if it's just one thing, i've got this. and the ex-wife, too. i'm really proud and happy with the way we've handled our situation and how we've raised keilan.
