This episode was better, still no sign of a larger story. I also feel like this one was written after Favreau had been show episodes of Andor.

I get the impression that they aren't really zealots. That it was just Bo Katans impression of them cause they don't remove their helmets, but that Bo had strayed from the way of Mandalore anyway so her understanding was skewed OR that Mandalorians are inherently zealous so to be a Mandalorian is to be a zealot anyway.

Like most of the internet I feel like the whole season felt rushed. Could have used another couple of episodes to let Ellie and Joel's relationship breathe, and have more significant moments of growth/development. 

Other than that, another great episode. Loved the whole season over all, with the above caveat.

Hopefully this season has proven to studios that video game adaptations can be smash hits if the source material is adhered to.

Man, there are few stresses like financial stress. Particularly if you get used to living comfortable it's very hard going back to being skint. I've never had a lot of money, and have lived from pay day to pay day most my life. But the security of having a mortgage has made that stress lesser..at least there isn't an asshole landlord in my life that could evict at a moment's notice. Not living in London or another expensive city is also a plus.

Yeah I've got Diablo Resurrected. It does look amazing and plays just the same.

Yeah Diablo IV suits the console kind of living room couch gameplay  really well.

So back in 1997 or whenever my best friend and I discovered this dungeon crawling game called Diablo. It was grim and goth as hell, and we LAN played the shit out of it. It was literally a life changing game. Then came Diablo 2 which we both played, but not as much which was hailed as a masterpiece. 

A few warcraft's and a world of warcraft later Diablo 3 came out and was a massive dissapointment. They traded gritty grim dark goth realism and horror ultraviolence for the neon cartoonist World of Warcraft aesthetic and minimal story. I hated it, save for the satisfying gameplay and top tier sound FX.

Now, here comes Diablo IV, and it looks like a promising return to tradition. It's dark as fuck. The art style is more naturalistic than cartoonist, proportions are more realistic, the music is amazing and the mood feels absolutely perfect. And it's coming in June.

BUT 

Activision is still the publisher and I am afraid of their greedy corporate interests fucking up the release of this game. This game, if blizzard gets it right has the potential to restore A LOT of goodwill with their player base everywhere if they nail it. Everything I have seen looks very promising and I cant help but get excited. I'd be so happy to play this every night after putting my son to bed for a few hours, slaying demons and scaring the crap out of myself like it's 1997 again. I really really really want this to be a smash hit. God knows the fans of old school Blizzard could use a hit game without abusive paywalls and microtransactions. They are still going to be present, but the developers promise they'll be cosmetic items only, nothing power related.

Anyway, I don't want to work myself up but I already have. I'm amped and I want this to be awesome. But I'm nervous too. Cause the potential here could be another benchmark in ARPGs.

It's been ages since I played the game so I can't really rembember it to compare. Time has been condensed a lot, but as someone who can't remember the game enough to compare it to, the "baby girl" didn't come out of knowhere for me. I think Ellie nursing Joel to health sold that enough... The only bother I had was Joel sprung back to health a little quickly. I get that he had to act like he was fine when beating the shit out of those two guys, but he did seem just a little bit too capable after what he had been through. But that's a minor nitpick for me.

Bella Ramsey's performance has left me very impressed though. Damn she's good.

Certainly because ive only just watched BOBF the housekeeping of this episode felt more like a natural follow on. I almost forgot the past events were from a different show. Objectively looking at it that was a terrible idea (Mando in Boba et al).

I'm glad I happened to watch BOBF so recently because I imagine I would be as disappointed or confused as anyone else by the housekeeping episode opener.

Meh I enjoyed it. Seriously, coming in hot after watching BOBF.... this is already better.

I still love Grogu, season 01 of Mando came out before my son could crawl, so I'm attached to the Mando & Grogu vibes. The little pod for Grogu to sit in in the ship, shit man it's too cute.  Grogu spinning around in the office chair when Mando is meeting the dude who's name I've forgotten. Love all that cute stuff. I'm gonna pretend I'm the Mandalorian when I'm bombing around in my Honda Civic with my kid in the back.

Yeah the episode went nowhere, but maybe if it was just 15 mins longer it would've been decent. Could have used another beat or cliffhanger or something 

Oh ok, but what species is he? I could wookiepedia it but it's too early to be questioning my life choices.

Not a film I'd like to see, but a series...

After watching Andor I realised I loved the Stellan Skarsgård antique dealer. I'd love a series around his or another antiques dealership in Coruscant that sends out some young Indiana Jones-esque (not necessarily old or male) character to source various things around the galaxy from forgotten tombs etc.

Spin off show, is literally Star Wars Antiques Roadshow where various people and aliens come on to have their own family heirlooms and antiques valued buy historical professionals. I'd watch the shit out of that. It'd need a fair amount of comedy thrown in between the absolute nerdness of it 

So the Rancor battle in tatooine was pretty cool. And Grogu calming it with the force, while predictable was also cool. And the blue gunslinger was cool. (Was he meant to be Chiss?) And the wookie was pretty cool, and the assassin lady was pretty cool. And obviously everything with Mando was cool. Everything else though? Terrible. 

I think they went wrong with the entire premise of the show. Making Boba Fett a good guy was a huge mistake. At best he could have been an anti hero but they literally turned him in to an honourable goody two shoes. Did he have a moment of clarity in the sarlac and decide to turn over a new leaf? I'm not buying it. Did the sand people turn his leaf? I dunno. I mean, I liked the sand people stuff but it still seems out of character for him to suddenly become this knight in bescal armour. I already got one of those and it ain't Boba.

P.s bescal chain mail for Grogu was cool.

I have never seen, nor will I likely ever see, anything as bad and cringy as Anakin and Padme's scenes on Naboo.  Go back and watch that that shit.  Go back and watch that horrible, horrible scene with them on the back of whatever animal that is and then getting bucked off then rolling down the hill giggling.  Watching that scene gave me SARS. 

And Natalie and Hayden, if you are reading this...no hate.  You did the best you could. 

The Mods are as bad or worse. 

Also god damn the Mods are literally the worst thing I've ever seen. Worse than anything in AOTC. Worse than Jar Jar. Worse than that terrible punk squatter episode of Stranger Things. Worse than Anakin cutting the apple for Padme using the force. Just. the. Worst.

Yeah man that episode was great. That got me too, and when Joel burns Ellie for her mentioning Sarah it's sooo harsh. Great performances all around
