Pong Messiah
I wonder how many episodes that was? I can usually identify an episode of Hannibal by its color and style, but there was just a lot of diverse visual... stuff to chew on there. Can't wait, of course. Love this show so much it hurts. ShadowDog
That was freaking awesome. Still pissed they put it off until the summer.
Ms. Spam
But if we get the same quality gruesome effects that they've consistently given in other episodes I can wait until summer. I posted this with you three in mind!
Guest El Chalupacabra
Yeah the preview looked awesome! Aside from the storyline, cinematography, and the acting, I think it is particularly clever how they recall actual scenes from the movies, but with a new twist or context. TuskenRaider
So excited for this to come back. Richard Armitage as The Tooth Fairy? Yes please.
Pong Messiah
Any idea who that smiley guy shaking Hannibal's hand halfway through the teaser is? On the tiny screen, he looked a lot like Edward James Olmos, but rewatching it, I can't place the actor...

Pong Messiah
I'm literally a tiny bit nervous! Sometimes Game of Thrones gets to me on a visceral level like this, but never before I've actually seen the episode! Dear Hannibal, Please stay awesome. Don't use your change setting as an excuse to get lazy. Love,-Pong
ShadowDog
I don't see that happening because Brian Fuller has NEVER had any of his series make it to a third season. He's probably so excited about that he probably doubled down in awesome this year. Not to mention they were expecting to air in January and NBC decided last second to push it to June ... which means Brian Fuller had an extra six months to play in post production. Can you imagine the editing and music design luxury that gave him? Even if its just him putting in unpaid hours. I fully expect this to be the greatest season of TV ... NAY! ... the greatest THING ever crafted by human hands.
Pong Messiah
And I was worried my expectations were unreasonably high going into tonight's premiere!
Pong Messiah
Huh.Just gonna say it: show needs a Will Graham-level foil or Hannibal truly off-balance for me to stay interested. Hannibal and Bedelia playing the happy couple and a few flashbacks aren't going to cut it for me as the "best show on TV." That said, SD was spot-on regarding the craftsmanship. The color, the design, the sound, and the tricks they played were all amazing. I just wasn't much invested in the victims or their stories (or solving the crime). Here's hoping the hunt starts proper next week!
Ms. Spam
I still haven't seen the premiere of season 3. Worst fan ever. OMG. I can't find it online anywhere for free.
Ms. Spam
Also, did you guys catch Zachary Quinto? You have to look for it. (I've been spoilered). And Pong! What say you about the musical choices?
Pong Messiah
What say you about the musical choices? Can't imagine the Waldstein ever being used in a bad way, but it, along with the incidental music was all great!
Ms. Spam
Bonsoir.Liked it quite a bit. Bedelia is not the person we think her.
Pong Messiah
SD still hasn't weighed in on episode 1...I think it is safe to say that regardless of pace and lack of Graham/Crawford last week, his prediction of this was spot-on:which means Brian Fuller had an extra six months to play in post production. Can you imagine the editing and music design luxury that gave him? Even if its just him putting in unpaid hours.
Ms. Spam
I may have to rewatch it tonight. I am sure there are some subtle word play things going on. I loved Bedelia's visits to the strange butcher shop and her freakish diet.
Pong Messiah
I guess you're supposed to interpret those scenes as her looking at the animals (particularly the rabbit) and seeing herself. Seems obvious now, though I'm not sure I would have gotten that without being told.
