Burt Posted February 27, 2015 Author Share Posted February 27, 2015 Hey Burt - what did you decide to do? I decided to take the job, but I'm still waiting for a formal offer. Took the drug test, will probably hear back tomorrow or next week. I haven't told my current supervisor yet, not wanting to do/say anything until I officially accept. Really, really sucks. Great job, great supervisor, but paid research positions NOT in academia aren't terribly common. I just have to take it. It's a bit of a leap to go from assessing wetlands and surveying birds to fisheries. Little nervous as I'm not mechanically inclined, I'm going to have to learn how to maintain the boat equipment. I think they want me for my brain though (statistics, study design, etc.), so it's probably not a huge deal.
