I agree Rock. From the very first question they asked you can tell they were after Trump and Trump fell for it.

He doesn't have the experience of the others to follow the political SOP of Deflect/Go off on a different tangent. Don't get me wrong, he has noooooooo business being POTUS, but they didn't even pretend to give him a shot. Fox sucks.

I think it will be cool to see a movie not take itself so serious, but I don't know how long the shelf-life will be. I do think they are going about the marketing properly, billing Deadpool as such and more of a comedy rather than a comic-book movie. I give props to Marvel for having the balls to try it in a world of political correctness and bean-counters making sure the bottom line is the most important part of movie making.

Trump got hosed. They barely asked him any real questions. All they did was shove his past in his face and gave all the real questions to the "politicians" who all gave generic rah-rah answers. I'm not saying Trump would have done any better with better questions, but it was crystal clear that Fox was just looking to bait Trump to make crazy news-worthy Trumpisms and to discredit him.

I wonder if they will mention his appearance in Wolverine: Origins.

I don't know if it will be referenced in the movie, but in one of the promotional pieces, Ryan Reynolds says something to the effect of "From the studio that inexplicably sewed his mouth shut in the first movie..." So they aren't shying away from anything, especially the "Don't make the supersuit green... or animated!" dig at Green Lantern.

Does this movie recognize his role in Wolverine Origins, at all? If it does, when does this movie take place? Before or after? I realize that this may be a stupid question. I saw Wolverine, and I watched the Red Band Trailer yesterday. If I had to guess, I believe that this movie dismisses/ignores Wolverine altogether.

That's what I've read. This is a complete reboot & new origins story. The only super-power they are giving him is Wolverine's regeneration. W:Origins gave him teleporation, lasers and other BS.

As far as I know, it's not dependant on any of the MCU, so I don't think the timeline of these events matter. I don't see them crossing over this R version of Merc with a Mouth with any successfully proven franchises. If it makes money, they'll probably make a few sequels until it dries up but I doubt it will go anywhere else.

Plus we saw footage of Thomas and Martha Wayne being gunned down - which can be added to the supercut - for the hundreds dozens ones(?) of people that will see this movie unfamiliar with Batman's story. Don't underestimate what can be shoved into the movie lol

I had the same thought. I would bet real cash dollars that we will have a series of Batfleck flashbacks at one point, telling both Batman's origin and battle stories. Maybe as he is walking though the BatSuite staring at various objects, like seeing the Joker killing Jason while looking at Robin's suit, seeing Thomas and Martha die while staring at some other McGuffin.

Most of the stuff fits into what I was already picturing, but the one thing I can't wrap my head around is the desert scene, Supertroopers and Batman's Gotham By Gaslight costume. We see Batman snapping one of their necks, the Super Troopers shooting people with automatic weapons and it looks like Superman has no problem with this ad he walks right by them, as they kneel at his approach and just walks by. I'm thinking it has something to do with Wonder Woman's deal.
