  1. The title has been used in actual fan film, and a Marvel comic.
  2. The Focus of the last film was Luke ? Lol ! He was in it for about 30 seconds. The story revolved around his unknown whereabouts, not the character.
  3. I don't mind the title, it implies the focus of this film is on Luke. One thing we can be sure of is we'll see a lot of him in this one. I don't think the title means he's going to die, but I think we'll get to learn more about what 'The Last Jedi' has been up to over the years... If he does die, then does the title mean there will be no more Jedi after Luke ?
  4. Source? Last I heard they were just starting to discuss the plans for Leia's future. +1 Back to top Quote MultiQuote Report Mara, there are articles online which mention Lucasfilm are talking with her estate, if they hadn't already decided to take this route I doubt they wouldn't even be talking with them. No matter how good a CG Leia will look it's going to be both creepy and depressing watching it, knowing she's passed on, even if it's 100 x better than what they did with Rogue One. It absolutely sucks that she died.
  5. Ramon, I'd rather a CGI version with a lot of care and attention to detail than a recast. Mara, I think they've pretty much decided to go ahead with it.
  6. So it seems like Disney are going to go ahead with a CG Leia. In this particular case (for varied personal reasons) I'm not for, nor against it, but I am seeing a lot of comments online suggesting it's wrong to do so. Just wondering what people's thoughts are on here. With all due respect to Carrie Fisher, RIP x She was an integral part of what made those films, which played a huge part in my life only some of us will ever understand.
  7. It also states that Rey is actually the daughter of Mara Jade ;-)
  8. I bought the 'Rogue One' - 'Ultimate Visual' Guide Book, it states it Coruscant.
  9. The scene where they infiltrate the security on Scarif, she is rubbing it, trusting in The Force.
  10. I've never been really all that bothered about the passing of a celebrity, but I'm absolutely gutted over this. RIP Princess x
  11. Yeah, of the two actresses one is Oscar nominated, the other had a guest spot in 'Holby City' or something similar, it's clear to tell which one is which. I couldn't stand Daisy Ridley with her constipated over the top facial expressions, she has all the presence of someone who just came out of stage school. I'm not saying Felicity was brilliant either, but her performance was believable, which helps all the more to make you believe in the character.
  12. I saw it again last night and was able to take more in. I had to go to the toilet part way through (when they where at Eadu) and I'm wondering, does it show them stealing the Imperial ship, or does it just cut to them having it ?
  13. One of my minor complaints with the film was the soundtrack, it just seemed to over the top and in your face at times, it could have been a little more subtle, but I'm listening to it on CD right now and it sounds great. It sounds more like the style of music Williams was composing in the late 70's early 80's. There is a section in the first track that sounds a lot like a section of E.T. I'm more than happy with it. I'll be going to see it again a few days, I could go tonight but I don't want to kill it. The final space battle was just amazing to witness, there where a lot of beautiful im
  14. The CGI characters did look like lifeless re-animated corpses, but that's the best ILM can do today. I think it sticks out more in a live action film because they are seen in the same frame as real actors. Everyone say's the eyes are what give it away, but I'm watching leaked footage of Leia on line, and to me it's the mouth, the way it moves. The shots with the CG characters where short, so it's not too much of a distraction, I'd rather have this than bad performances from live actors. I can live with it. I can't criticize Edwards for this, he did an amazing job and just watching that sc
  15. I saw it nearly twelve hours ago and have been drinking since, (to celebrate lol)... I will say this. I LOVED IT. I won't go into much detail but what I loved most was that the whole film was a tragedy on an epic scale. My favourite moment... probably Vader in the Bacta Tank, the film doesn't officialy confirm, but pretty much does confirm that when Vader is not needed he is stuck in that tank, and what else can he do in that situation other than contemplate his former life. No wonder he is so bitter...He had everything and he lost it all. Born a slave, always a slave. Everyone in this fil
  16. Obviously anyone can ask anyone a question or for some advice but if you think Lucas is exerting any kind of major influence over Star Wars at this point I think you are wrong. I didn't say Lucas had any major influence Choc, even though every Star Wars film will forever be based on his own ideas... I'll repeat this only one time... Whatever [Lucas] liked was pretty much guaranteed to be in the film.” - Gareth Edwards. There you go.... End of...
  17. Obviously this is all staged but... These directors are all buddies, and despite whatever stipulations Disney contracts may say about Lucas not being involved I doubt they would state that anyone involved in the film is not allowed to have any direct contact with Lucas, unless Disney they have their phones tapped and are following them everywhere they go lol ! If Lucas does have some involvement it would probably be to a similar extent that Spielberg was involved in TFA and ROTS. Film politics is as shady and as underhanded as real life politics, they are so similar in many ways.
  18. Whatever [Lucas] liked was pretty much guaranteed to be in the film.” - Gareth Edwards. https://www.inverse.com/article/24010-easter-egg-star-wars-helmet-george-lucas
  19. George was on board right up till near the end of production on TFA. Kennedy said he was basically her Yoda in a video interview regarding him being on board for advice. I even read somewhere that Rey was created by Lucas too, this part may be BS but if he was on board after the pre-production phase then he's had some hand in it. I don't know, but saying no one would run with an idea from George doesn't add up when you consider the Whills are now being incorporated into the new Canon, Lucas visited Edwards during production. They've even included a character from the Cone Wars in Rogue One.
  20. Don't read the listing then, especially the last track titled: 'Jyn's Noble End'.... just kidding.
  21. So it's not possible that anyone working on the new films wouldn't call up Lucas for some 'unofficial' conversations, and advice maybe ? All the big film directors are connected, via business or friendships. I think it's feasible. Lucas also visited the set and apparentley gave Gareth Edwards some advice so it could well be the case that Lucas is having some hand in it because (understandably) he doesn't want to see his baby ruined.
  22. I wonder if George still has a hand in it all, on the side.... this sounds interesting. https://www.inverse.com/article/24915-whills-rogue-one-star-wars-george-lucas-canon
  23. I don't mind writing to accommodate certain key moments and ideas, but some films just make it seem so obvious, whereas others don't. I think it would just be simpler and more effective if Kanata had just said that 'The Force' had spoken to her and left it at that, because it's a Lightsaber not the frickin 'Sword of Omens' or anything like that.
