  1. Aww... that sounds so adorable in such a sad way, Destiny. I hope she's feeling better soon.

I haven't posted any stories yet because my pup makes me laugh at least a couple times a day, but half the time it's just subtle stuff that wouldn't be funny to anyone else. Just a minute ago, though she had me giggling so hard (silently of course--wouldn't want to offend her!)

She was carrying around her stuffed pheasant toy, which drags on the ground when she holds it by the tail. She was carrying and shaking it around and it hit a tennis ball that was on the floor. Once the tennis ball moved she started to chase it and kick it around with her front paws. Eventually she'd trip on the pheasant, which would remind her that it was in her mouth and she'd start shaking it. Then it would hit the tennis ball and she would go back to kicking it will dragging the pheasant. This went on for a good ten minutes! She's so entertaining!

I'd also like to add happy birthday wishes to my little pup! Calliope is 1 (human) year old today. :D

  2. I'm certainly not. Should I be? :)

I'm on chapter 5 of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It sucks because it's due back today and some stupidhead requested it so I can't renew it. Now I need to get at the end of the waiting list to get it back. It's a good thing I'm not at an exciting part. I don't care that I've already read it before. I don't wanna wait to find out what happens (again!) Now I need to figure out something else to get at the library.

  3. That's a good point about memorable lines, NumberSix. All the other episodes this season have had a least a few quotable lines. This episode didn't have any that I can think of. The closest thing was Dwight's comment about the Andromeda Galaxy.

I'm wondering why Michael took Oscar and Andy rather than Dwight. Dwight usually campaigns for those type of assignments. Maybe he was just content to spend the time with Angela? I did like the interaction between Oscar and Andy, but I missed Dwight in the episode.

  4. Sounds like the perfect book for you, Sulis!

Copper, I finished Every Visible Thing a couple days ago, and I went to sleep that night feeling depressed. She does such a good job of making you care about the characters. I think I liked The Mermaids Singing better for some reason, but both were very good. Thanks for the recommendation.

Now I'm going to read the Harry Potter series again (assuming the library has them all.)

  5. Haha, thanks, Copper. I've been looking around here for some suggestions, and when I saw that somebody had read The Dark is Rising I got all nostalgic and had to pick it up.

As for the Lisa Carey, that's the one! I'm starting it tonight. Do I need to pick up tissues?

  6. I'm reading The Dark is Rising. I only vaguely remember the story since I last read it in sixth grade or so. Next on my list is another Lisa Carey. I had to spread it out after crying so much during the last one. Then I'll move on to the first three Harry Potter books, since I haven't re-read them since they first came out. That should keep me busy for a few weeks.

  7. I just finished Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson and Lady Liberty which I don't know the author for. It was a rainy weekend, so I got a lot of reading done.

Tonight I'm starting A Little Princess. I'm excited to read it again after all these years.

  8. I'm 2/3 of the way through Cryptonomicon and it's getting really interesting.

I got A Little Princess from the library last night, and I'm pumped to read it again.

I will also be starting a book on CD during my 8-10 hours of bus rides this weekend. (Stupid car sickness!) It's a crime mystery/romance from the sounds of the writeup on the back. I don't remember the name of it.

I spent like an hour in the library last night just looking for books. It was super fun!

  9. I would never have thought to look for that organization chart online, but it was really funny. Makes you wonder how Dwight is monitoring the menstrual cycles of all the female employees.

  10. I can't believe Angela let Andy get away with his comment about the "old ball and chain." That must have been hard for him to choose between sucking up to Michael and sucking up to Angela.
