Gamevet 267
It’s time to start heading into the 2022 season discussion. The big one today is that Bruce Arians is stepping down from his HC position in Tampa. Who didn’t see that coming?
Metropolis 782
The succession plan was in place when Arians took the job. We thought it would happen when Brady retired. That it happened after Brady came back raises the question if best had something to do with it. He probably did. They did butt heads.
Gamevet 267
Arians had a Super Bowl caliber team assembled, before Brady arrived. He just didn't have a good enough QB to make it happen, until Brady happened and it was the same in Arizona, before he got Kurt Warner. Brady might be one of the best, but it takes a team to make it happen. He may think that the team will be better without Bruce, but I don't think so.
Metropolis 782
Dwayne Haskins died in a car accident this morning. Sad.
Gamevet 267
He got ran over by a dump truck. He wasn't even in a car. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33706232/pittsburgh-steelers-qb-dwayne-haskins-dies-being-hit-car I swear, the states just hand out driver's licenses like candy. I even asked a mid 20 something coworker if he knew the rule for driving distance behind another vehicle and he didn't have a clue. It's bullshit!
Metropolis 782
I'm from Broward county. When i heard the details on the radio i thought what the hell was wrong with him. There isn't a stretch of 595 that he should have been on on foot. Especially after all the work had been finished widening it a few years ago. Even on a Saturday morning there's too much traffic. Gamevet 267
It turns out that he ran out of gas and tried to cross the highway for help. WTF?!
Gamevet 267
Haskins may have been trying to wave down a vehicle for help. He had a female passenger that was drunk and passed out. 4 am and drunk, doesn’t sound like someone who was turning their life around.
Metropolis 782
I'm waiting for the l everything to come out. It would but surprise me if the he toxicology comes back on him with being so least drunk.
Metropolis 782
The Bucs and Cowboys go at it again week one. This time Sunday night.
Gamevet 267
Oh great! This is the kind of matchup that should happen on a Thursday, like maybe Thanksgiving, not on week one when everyone is trying to figure out how to work their new talent into the playbooks.
Metropolis 782
I'm half thinking about trying to go to that game. The problem being 1) it's the start of the school year and the wife isn't going to want to miss a day that early in the year. 2) my cousin and i are going to the Miami-Texas A&M game they next Saturday at college station. So i don't know if i can swing it. Jerry world is on my list of stadiums i want to visit.
Gamevet 267
Tickets at Jerry World (The Death Star) are expensive.
Metropolis 782
Yeah. On StubHub they're starting at $160 in the upper deck. I can't do the Texas two step in consecutive weekends.
