Metropolis
Not going to lie. I might fan boy this tonight. One thing i noticed in the last trailer. Sabine was figuring with a green lightsaber. Kanan taught her how to use the darksaber, but was never seen as force sensitive. I hope Filoni hasn't given into the cheap keys make them a Jedi trope. Metropolis
Hooked. Basically a live action Rebels. I saw a review titled "Ahsoka is the anti-Andor". I agree. I wasn't bored to death watching Ahsoka.
Tank
It's also the Anti-Andor in that it's working overtime to be OMG WE A STAR WAR. I really don't want to be a jaded Star Wars guy... but I think I am. If Rebels (which I mostly loved) had come out post ROTJ, and I got this series I would have loved it so much. But now I'm feeling like this is just another over-produced fan film. There's things I love (like the design, and the basic story), but things I hate (how clean and sterile it is). Mostly, I really REALLY hate that the Luke/Ahsoka scene was a wasted random drop in Book of Boba Fett when it would have made sense here. At this point in the timeline, it REALLY have a rough time buying there being any Jedi action happening no mention or appearance of Luke, and no New Republic politic stuff without Mon Mothma or Leia. (I'm sure we'll get Mothma at some point). Anyway-- I'm being fussy. The magic is just gone for me, but I'm still in.
Dark Wader
It felt like it had all the ingredients for something really great but it just kinda felt a bit flat? Visually it looked great, music was great, story is interesting…but it felt like they were kind of bored shooting the action sequences, or they missed the ‘faster, more intense’ memo from Lucas. Or like Tank some of the magic is gone for me a bit too.
Dark Wader
Does anyone think the Inquisitorish type fellow is going to be Ezra? Giving me Silver Chair/Tron Legacy vibes.
Metropolis
I would entertain that theory because having post Emperor/Vader Inquisitors is odd. Though when you think about it how would Ezra be able to make it back and not Thrawn?
Tank
I don’t know if it is Ezra, Giloni wouldn’t Anakin one of his own characters… but it def has the vibes of being a reveal in the making.
Odine
Who knew that selling off a beloved franchise to a massive corporation whose success is based around merchandising and constant iterations of product, would result in the accurate replication of surface level aesthetics and feel, but strip all soul and magic of said franchise? That's never happened before, surely. Zerimar. He knew, and he was right.
Dark Wader
No, Zerimar was bitter Lucas had scrapped the EU from the slate. If that had continued he wouldn’t have given a crap.

Two Jedi kill a New Republic crew right out in the open and break a prisoner out of the ship...and no one thinks it's a good idea to alert Luke? The episodes play as if Return of the Jedi didn't happen and we are stil in the Rebels timeline. Eveything is hush hush and Hera and Ahsoka are doing everything on their own. Rogue 3
Just watched the first two. Agree with the general consensus on here. Looks good, it not quite gripping me. Big fan of Rebels and it’s great to see them all in action. Sabine & Chopper - spot on. I like the actress playing Hera (big fan of Scott Pilgrim), but she doesn’t quite feel right for me as Hera… Maybe giving off too young vibes? I’m not sure what it is. Ray Stevenson is excellent - what a sad loss he was. Lots of good roles he has played. Liked his comment at the end about being sad to reduce the Jedi numbers. Feels like his motivations might be a bit more interesting than first thought… Issues - it doesn’t make sense for Sabine to be a Padawan. Feels tacked on as they wanted the Apprentices to go after each other. Agree the general amount of force users is not right - where were these mugs when Luke was on his own bravely going up against Palps & Vader? Jeez… But good stuff generally and like the idea on the inquisitor type character having a big reveal. Maybe this person is responsible for planting the map? Have issues with Maps to places after the rubbish use of it in The Rise of Skywalker!!

Lord Darth Hunter
I read a review that said, when I see Rosario Dawson in the get up I see Ahsoka, ditto for Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine. But when I see Mary Elizabeth Winstead, I don't see Hera. I just see Mary Elizabeth Winstead in green makeup and prosthetic pig tails. I don't know what it is but Winstead didn't work for me as Hera and it seems I wasn't the only one. I'm also wondering if we will eventually see her and Kanan's son? Which of course leads to the inherent problem with inbetweenquels, prequels, sequels 30 years after the fact, and what not. But again, they could have used that BOBF Luke/Ahsoka scene here and solved everything.
Metropolis
I honestly don't remember the dialogue of that scene. I'll have to look it up again. From what i understand they've already things in the Ahsoka novel with the tales of the Jedi shorts. If I've had a problem with these shows, it's keeping up with the timeline. It escapes me that Ahsoka is around 50 years old at this point. If there was one thing that legends and the new eu have in common is that they portray the New Republic as inept and ready to fail. Zathras
I've only seen the first episode, but in the scenes with Sabine and Ahsoka, and/or Ahsoka and Hera, the acting seems wooden and forced, with uncomfortable pauses in between dialogue.
Destiny Skywalker
Yeah, I feel like everyone is awkward around Ahsoka. Or she's awkward. I admittedly didn't watch a ton of Rebels so I'm not sure how familiar/comfortable the dynamic was, but obviously there's conflict between Sabine and Ahsoka so maybe that's what they went for. That’s why I found Zerimar so entertaining. Sure he may have been right about what was coming up to be a lot of very mediocre stuff but then he’d declare the old EU is was not being the exact same thing. CoLA
I liked it but I agree about Hera. The actress does not feel like her at all to me, whereas I have no problems with Ahsoka and Sabine. Hera feels like a cosplayer and not the character herself. Sucks because she was my favorite from Rebels!
Metropolis
I think a lot of the challenge for the live action versions of these characters is separating them from their voice actors. Dawson was spared her first couple of outings, but now she's getting the she's not Ashley Eckstein treatment. Her tone is deeper and she's kinda mean. Like her other cameos then lol. As for Hera i think she's getting the short end of the stick. She was the matriarch of the group. For this story I don't see going touch into her story. Maybe a mention of Jason? Without Kanan or even Ezra this is the Ahsoka/Sabine story. I could be wrong but Hera might not too much to do.
