Ms. Spam
Even the drone ones are getting boring too. HA! I think I'm getting old. Meanwhile eleventy billion kids were in a culdesac near my house firing off black cats for HOURS.

The rich town we live next to had an amazing display last night. I’m typically not too into fireworks but go for the kids, but this was by far the best display I’ve ever seen. Metropolis
One of the Columbus Blue Jackets died in a fireworks accident yesterday. Sad. I spent the night trying to calm my dogs down.
Destiny Skywalker
I like the big professional displays. Amateur hour is just boom boom BOOM boom. My kids just did sparklers that night and 3 packages of snaps yesterday (they liked trying to make different noise patterns). Washington is in bad fire danger so if we had been back home, we wouldn't have done anything.
Zathras
Try living in AZ near a bro-dawg bar and grill. Fireworks are as easy to get as water.
Odine
I'm thinking of the South Park episode where the hunting guys drive to Mexico to get some sweet patriotic illegal fireworks
Destiny Skywalker
Honestly, if you live near a Native American reservation, the fireworks are so much worse. I never had anything like this nonsense in Chicago. Out in Washington if you don't have a mortar ready for every Seahawks touchdown you aren't a real 12th man. (I hate the Seahawks because of their fans.)
Zathras
In AZ, you can't throw a rock without hitting a fireworks pop up store. Also, you have Native American reservations and Mexico across the border. No shortage of fireworks in the hottest and driest state in the US. Makes sense to me, because forest fires aren't enough to keep fire fighters busy, right? monkeygirl
We're in big fire danger here so I was dreading the weekend but it was tame! A few big blasts on Saturday, then a number of celebrations on Sunday night but it didn't sound like a war zone and it did not last all weekend. Pleasantly surprised. And all our big shows were canceled
The Choc
I like fireworks but really only once a year for a short weekend. On July 4 once it gets dark enough to see them which is usually getting near 9:30. Then they should be done by 10 or so.
