He's too greasy to die. He'll be alive into his 90s just because he's such an awful human

Is he human though? Or is he an ill fitting skin-suit wearing goblin?

There’s no need to insult goblins

They’ve been conditioned for years to believe feelings instead of facts. Well before Trump (see: truthiness). But it’s gotten even worse, now it’s not just “if I feel it, it’s true” it’s “if I don’t like it, it’s fake and nobody can prove otherwise.”

If I could, I really would leave America. I hate us.

The left has nothing on being a snowflake when compared to the right.

What do you mean? They aren’t snowflakes, they’re the oppressed silent majority. They also need to build a place that’s safe for them to share their conservative views on the internet, unlike snowflake conservatives who need safe spaces.

I've been middle-right for about 10-12 years. I voted Obama in 08, been voting republican ever since.

I hate Fox News. MSNBC. CNN. They're all trash. But, i do applaud Tucker coming out and saying something, as well as Limbaugh. Great to see Christie speak out against how Trump is handling everything as well.

I'm glad the Trump era is over. Even if i did vote for him again in 2020. I certainly wasn't thrilled about voting for him in 2016, and the same applies for 2020. But it's not always voting for the person you like best. it's about voting for what policies align up more with your beliefs, and that political party.

I do like how Biden has been handling things since it's been clear that he's the winner. I appreciate that it seems he genuinely cares about how the other 50% of the population feels about him, and he's determined to win us over. I certainly respect that. I just worry about what's ahead. He's going to have a huge push from the far left to get him on board with their ideas.

Are there any specific things that scare you?

I'm worried just how far down the socialist road we might go. For example, our healthcare system is obviously broken. Taxing the 1% or people who make $400,000 or more a year isn't going to fix the healthcare problem in America. It's systematically splintered and corrupt from the top down to the bottom. There needs to be accountability within the healthcare system. How we change that, I have no idea. Taxing is a band-aid. The argument with more taxes is it won't effect me or you. the poor. the middle class. Great. What about the future? what about 10 years from now, 20 years from now? When companies and rich people find a different way to circumvent paying taxes? How long will it be before we're like canadien citizens and we're all being taxed 45-50 percent?

AOC seems to think that free healthcare, free college, and guaranteed wage can all be paid through taxing rich people. That doesn't even include the green new deal she's pushing. with taxes. Of course, i don't expect all of this to be pushed through during bidens administration. but i sure as shit don't want it to start getting traction either, and 15 years down the road, this is where we are.

https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/statistics/historical-highest-marginal-income-tax-rates

It is interesting that we had a marginal tax rate for the top 1% at 94% at the end of WW2 and it slowly declined to about 70% at the beginning of the 1980s (tax rates for the poor and middle class have remained fairly stable in this time).  With that money we built up our national infrastructure (such as the instate system), invested heavily in education (including paying the bulk of college costs for people in these decades), went to the fucking moon, had an arms race, Korean, and Vietnam Wars, started multiple national health programs, etc.  Somehow, what made America great back then is now called socialism today.

Some countries copied this model in the 70s and now have the strongest economies on earth.

Right now the marginal tax rate is 37% and falling...not including all of the loopholes that exist only for the top 1%...which is celebrated by Americans.  Look at the way Trump paying $700 was celebrated.

There are 1500 more billionaires in America than the next country...the amount of the top 1% is so disproportionate to the rest of the country it is insane.  Here's the kicker, to make that money, they use roads...are dependent on the education system to educate their workers, need police and firefighters to protect their businesses...I mean most crimes aren't even investigated unless it meets a certain threshold.  Companies, like Wal-Mart and McDonalds pay workers so poorly that use government assistance as part of its pay.

If AOC wanted to cut taxes in the 1970s to 45% she would be called a conservative radical.

I’m not trying to argue, I’m genuinely curious - if politicians wouldn’t create more loopholes for the rich, would you support any of those programs?

Are you opposed to them because you think they’re inherently bad, or because you’re afraid of tax increases for the middle class?

Support which programs?  The social programs or the loopholes?

I think they are inherently bad.  The rich are more dependent upon our infrastructure to create their wealth than the middle class and certainly the poor.  Socialize the costs and then privatize the profits....

Trump just had to work it out of his system that he lost. It's like a kid who's told no and you just have to let the storm pass. I laugh at the Christmas decorating debacle that's becoming the new way to mock and trash the Trumps.

I am also kinda of laughing at Jr getting Corona and feel well bad.

No it's fine, it's a good conversation to have. I would love to see an affordable or free healthcare system. My insurance i get through work gets worse every year. Obamacare sucked before Trump even got ahold of it. And it didn't affect the rich. it affected me. The middle class. it turned my deductibles from $800 family to $2500 a year. It doubled my insurance costs. All the insurance companies did was pass their expenses down to the middle class. Since Obamacare started in what...2012?... it's cost me $10's of thousands of dollars over the last 8 years. In general, i just don't think taxing is the answer for everything. Ender pointed out that in WWII they taxed the 1% 90% of their pay. i mean, that's great that it helped America, but i don't care how much a certain person or company makes, a 90% tax is just....tyranical to me. Is it just me? I mean look, Jeff Bezos is a piece of shit and no human should be 200billion when his employees work in terrible conditions. But look, if amazon employees were making $30 an hour, and their 'job' was actually a 'career', I'm not going to fault Bezos for making the money that he makes. But taxing the 1%, or taxing people more who make 400k a year is not the answer. It'd be like having fort knox print 3 trillion dollars and throwing it into the stock market and still watching the stock market drop thousands of points and crash the same day. Oh wait, that did happen. You have to fix the system first. Taxing is just a band aid. Same thing with free college. You have to fix the institutions first. It's inherently corrupt.

In regards to the Green New Deal.....i mean christ. Look, i'm in favor of more environmental changes. Global warming is a real thing. We need to get back into the Paris agreement. Green New Deal is ambitious. AOC doesn't even know where the money is going to come from, but she's dead set on pushing this deal that could cost what? 50-100 trillion? jesus christ, we can't even put a dent in paying back our $30 trillion debt. where are we going to come up with this money? Don't tell me the 1%.

Yeah, now that he's a lame duck, republicans are finally waking up to the fact Trump is a non-starter for them.  The best thing they can do for themselves, no THE WORLD, is shun the fool, and blame everything wrong on him.  If they were smart, they would take steps to reform their primary process so some other populist like Trump (or Trump himself) doesn't do the same thing as what happened in 2016.
