Zathras
So what songs are you surprised were not featured on a soundtrack of a movie or TV show? Here are 2 that come to mind for me: The Passenger (either Iggy Pop or Siouxsie versions) on Dexter Werewolves of London on American Werewolf in London. Iceheart
Michael's introduction in AHS - Apocalypse. They used that song from Murder House, which okay, I get why - but could you imagine that scene with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds's Red Right Hand instead? It would have been 110% better. There was also a scene in The Vampire Diaries where the characters were having a tense standoff in a biker bar to The Civil Wars's Barton Hollow, which... okay, that was the most popular song with that sound at the time, but Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Ain't No Easy Way was RIGHT THERE and would have complemented the scene perfectly, while Barton Hollow sounded weird in the setting (no biker listens to The Civil Wars, I mean, come on). It's been YEARS and I'm still pissed about that one. Honestly, scoring a movie or tv show with popular music would be my dream job. I have a lot of thoughts about music use in tv and movies.
