Guest
So I'm laid up with some weird stomach thing, or maybe spine thing, or maybe brain thing, or who knows what. Anyways, spending a lot of time in bed. I've watched a lot of movies and TV shows. Rewatched Veronica Mars, Psych, and Angel and feeling like I should watch some stuff that I normally can't watch. My wife dislikes horror, obviously can't watch it around my young kids, would now is the time. I've watched the Paranormal Activity movies and found them to be slightly less scary than cable news. I dislike most found footage, but I'm open to being surprised. Not into stuff like Saw or the entire torture porn genre. That isn't horror, it's just disgusting. I especially enjoy the slasher subgenre, and I'm open to any suggestions on older movies that I may have missed. I've hit the big franchises. I'm open to any suggestions, and certainly not against anything other than the torture porn stuff. I also recently watched Truth or Dare. It wasn't bad but now I'm scared to death of Anne Hathaway because her smile is the creepy death smile from that movie.

Cerina
We actually really enjoyed Light as a Feather. We do agree that the show would benefit greatly by being 1 hour episodes instead of half hour, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

3 & 6 years to go...
If you don't want torture porn, then you don't want Hostel, Hostel 2.
Jacen123
I haven't seen all of the ones Tank suggested, but I also really like a lot of those. Another one that I enjoyed is The Babadook.
Lord Darth Hunter
I liked the Rob Zombie Halloween films. And Freddy vs Jason, though a movie like that, is it really horror? It plays more like an action movie.

I hate how fast they cut the show.
Guest
I've seen a good number of the films listed, but thanks. Definitely enough to keep me entertained for a while. The Zombie Halloween movies would've been better if they were completely original. They ruined the character of Michael Myers by giving him the backstory. He works best as inexplicable evil. Heck, I'll take Halloween V over those remakes. The more recent one was better, but still worse than the H20 and whatever the sequel was. Light As A Feather would benefit from being longer, but I still enjoyed it. I watched it when my baby was a newborn and I was taking a night shift with her, so it worked for my sleep deprived brain. Hostel and Saw are about as scary as Scooby-Doo, they're just gross. Watched Final Girls today. Also not scary, but a great take without being a total spoof. It seemed like a love letter from slasher fans. Summer of 84 is up next, either tonight or tomorrow.

Tank
They are not. There's also a Chucky TV show coming connected to all the original movies, not the remake that just came out.
