The first WWE pay per view of the year.

Pre show matches:

Roode and Gable terrain they're tag team title defeating Rezar and Scott Dawson.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeats Rusev to regain the US title.

Buddy Murphy wins fatal four way to retain the cruiserweight title.

Now onto the main show.

Wow. The Becky Lynch-Asuka match is first. This almost telegraphs an Asuka win with Becky Lunch entering the women's Royal Rumble.

The Miz and Shane McMahon defeat The Bar to win the Smackdown Tag Team titles. I swear Shane always looks like he is going to kill himself.

Ronda Rousey defeats Sasha Banks to retain the Raw Women's Title.

They keep teasing this Four Horsewomen thing. Where does that go? None of Rousey's bunch are on the WWE main roster.

Just looked at the clock. The universal title match would seem to be a squash. Go I hope not. Unless the Rumble is going to midnight.

I'm not going to do the same for the men's Royal Rumble because that too a lot to keep up with. But damn Jeff Jarrett looks soooo out of shape.

I don't want to say that NXT has a height issue, but ther biggest stars are not the tallest dudes. Outside of Velevteen Dream these guys barely teach the top rope. Kinda kidding, but seeing as a lot of their stars are "tough guys", they don't translate with even the modestly tall WWE stars . Aleister Black doesn't look as menacimg next to Drew MvIntyre.

With R Truth the number 30 entry that means no EC3. Surprising to say the least.

Almas and Ziggler remain. Of course Strowman was never actually eliminated. The Nia Jax spots were entertaining.

Forgot about Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins wins the Royal Rumble. So who did he chose? The Raw or Smackdown champ?

I hope the Nia Jax thing was just an entertainment segment. I do not want to see inter gender wrestling. They do that **** in the Indies and it is laughable at best. It works with a character like Joey Ryan because that's his schtick. Having women grab his junk and then flipping them with it.

It depends how it's staged. If you have some tiny thing throwing around a beast it makes no sense. But if you matched skill at a more even size, it's a lot of fun.

I'd pay to see Nia Jax vs Rey Mysterio
