Justus 319
It does not seem to be the same kind of intense, mass royal ass-kissing from American media about this wedding like that of the William/Catherine wedding. Not nearly as much of the "ohh, its a fairytale!" kinds of on air squealing. I'm not a betting man, however, if I placed money on the cause of the generally ho-hum reactions, it would fall on Markle. White Americans in love with the false idea of "royalty" cannot dream as much knowing even a drop of black blood is in the family, and how that "threatens" the future of that family and its image. Guest
It wouldn't surprise me if there's a degree of racism to it, but the weddings aren't an apples to apples comparison. There's also the fact that William and Kate are going to be King and Queen, which automatically increases interest in their wedding. Harry also doesn't have the squeaky clean reputation that William has, which increases the fairy tale nature.
