I know Vince ultimately doesn't care as long as people are paying to watch his product, and I know that Saudi Arabia is an entirely different animal, but it's gotta bug him that crowds today are so much deader than they used to be. One of the things I had forgotten about was how crazy fans were for wrestling back in the 80s and 90s. You just don't see that anymore.

Stuff like that makes it feel more real in a way. It's like what John Ford used to say about his Westerns. He was famous for keeping "mistakes" in his movies. If an actor slipped getting on or off a horse or a prop gun misfired he'd always keep it in the movie and would say "in real life sometimes you slip getting on a horse and sometimes a gun misfires"
