Cleveland has drafted nothing but quarterbacks since coming back into the league, it feels like, and theyve failed at it every single time.

Just took a quick look at their draft history. It may feel like it, but it's not really all that bad. They haven't taken a QB with a top 20 pick since Tim Couch almost 20 years ago.

Matter of fact, outside of burning a 6th round pick on a QB not named Brady in 2000, they wouldn't draft any other QBs in their first five seasons. It wouldn't be until 8 years later that they would use pick for a QB in the first 2 rounds. Which is rather odd if you think about. That's drafting like they've got the position set.

The last 10 years have been a lot worse, but still not as bad as you might think, they've used three 1st round picks, one 2nd round pick, and two 3rd round picks on QBs. Oddly enough, all three of those 1st rounders were at the 22 slot. Obviously, that's more in line with a franchise without a leader at QB, but it's not really going crazy considering outside of hoping for Brady Quinn to mature for a couple of years, they knew they had a big need at QB every single one of those off seasons.
