Poe, I'm not sure what you mean by excuse.

He's saying that Dems point to decreased turnout to avoid admitting that they are not as attractive at the state/local level, as if their failures have to do with things outside their control.

 

In reality, it's a little bit of both. Decreased minority turnout in the last couple midterms undoubtedly helped the GOP in some areas, but at the same time, there are some states where either the local Dem party is in disarray, or they've been running poor campaigns with lackluster candidates.

Meh. I don't see it as an excuse. Depending on the location this happens frequently. In the last election I voted there were only GOP people who ran in my county. The Democrats couldn't even find a person to run for Justice of the Peace.

 

In other news, why Trump won't win by the NY Times: There is not enough dumb white people.
