Poe Dameron
Oddly enough, Turkey's history of relative stability and secular government is built on the occasional coup. Turkey's government has been moving away from its secular roots for awhile. Hopefully, this is just the military putting things back on track and not the start of something tragic. Guest
They're at least going longer between coups. But, given the current world climate, its hard to not be frightened. I share Poe's hopes, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Marc DuQuesne
I would feel a lot more comfortable if it were happening in a vacuum. There is a lot going on around there. Also more refugees than anywhere on the planet.
Poe Dameron
Well, it looks like it's going to fail. Which would be a bad scenario in and of itself. The threat of the military is one of the key checks in Turkey against the encroachment of authoritarian governments.
