I feel the same way. What's odd is that I don't have that same sense of loss with the the Indiana Jones "OT" and it too had a newer film that made everyone groan. Could it be those films could <gasp> be better than the SW films? You can definitely make a case for Raiders being on par if not superior to them.

KOTC didn't retroactively make Raiders a worse movie, nor did they digitally insert Shia LaDouche into it.
