Halloweenie!

So I really like Halloween for whatever reason. I've decided to watch a ton of classic (and not so classic!) horror films. This is my netflix queueueue so far:

The Shining

Zombieland

Oldboy (original)

2001: A Space Odyssey

Psycho

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Attack The Block

Rosemary's Baby

I know 2001 is kinda an outlier but it IS freaky. Looking for other suggestions! I do not like The Exorcist or the Saw movies. Really freaky demon possession or torture porn is not my thing. More interested in funny and/or psychological horror/halloween stuff.

If you're looking for a really fun horror film with everything from alien monsters to axe-wielding killers to flesh eating zombies my suggestion would be Night of the Creeps. Directed by Fred Dekker who also helmed The Monster Squad and it stars the great Tom Atkins.

It ain't Halloween for me without Hocus Pocus, but I FF through Bette singing.

ALSO Practical Magic

AND Nightmare B4 Xmas but I FF through Oogie Boogie's song

Going to throw Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic on the queueue. I just watched Nightmare like, last month so I don't want to rewatch it.

I'm planning to watch Stephen Kings It.

Been a long time since I've watched it but I remember it scared the hell out of me when I was younger, so we'll see if it holds up.

I can't do clowns. Can't do clowns!! Eeeeek!

Monster Squad

Check!

Not going to state the obvious Halloween because...well, duh.

But Trick r Treat is a good/freaky one.

I saw that one awhile ago and didn't really like it. but thanks for the suggestion!

Poltergeist

1988 version of night of the demons

oooo Poltergeist. Hadn't thought of that, definitely adding it.

Suspiria is a classic 70s horror. It is good but not for everyone.

Cannibal holocaust another Italian horror film. Its okay.

The Haunting has some awesome atmosphere.

Carnival of souls is okay.

The Orphanage is a really good film.

Most of the films on the list are appealing to those who like a different type of horror film. They have more atmosphere than scares. More gore and blood that isnt realistic at all.
