David
honestly, when i think of tears for fears, i think of gary jules and how he basically owns 'mad world' now after his amazing remake of the tears for fears song. kinda like how johnny cash owns 'hurt' by nin and how anyone not named leonard cohen owns 'hallelujah'. different opinions from everyone, i guess. i don't find this album earth shattering or a hero album by any means, but it's pretty clear that it was a pretty important album in the 80's and it sold millions of records worldwide, so i know **** all. OKAY NOW my head's gonna pop off. JUST POP. OFF. okay. well, just remember, it's just an opinion in a thread asking for an opinion and this is only a message board. it's no big deal. Odine
But that's the thing MG, Carrie DID say it was in contention for the best album of the 80s which unless it were strong hyperbole I'd have to disagree. But I mean, yeah, David's right... There are more important things to be worked up over

Ms. Spam
Heh. Recently I went to a kind of high school reunion and I totally forgot that I was in a band that played a great deal of songs based on this album. I was the lame tamborine-like player but I got vocal harmony and some fun out of it.
