I was terrified of the inspection as the buyer, too, because I already loved the house and was worried something huge would pop up that we couldn't meet on. Fortunately, most was small stuff that was easy/cheap for them to fix. The only major issue was the finding of high radon levels in the basement. Fortunately, I was able to convince them to take most of the cost of abatement off of the price of the house, though, and just avoided using the basement until I got the fan system put in for it. I am really glad my agent suggested testing for it because most people in my city have no idea that radon can even be a problem here (if they even know what it is).
