Rock
I've never seen a thread of such vital importance contain so little actual information.
The Choc
I don't know if we'd call it news but that casting call was confirmed for those, I think, 6 parts. Which gives us some kind of vague ideas about some of the characters.

NumberSix
Which gives us some kind of vague ideas about some of the characters. ...that they're mostly the same age as the movie's target demo, and some of them exercise. I could've guessed that before clicking on the thread.

Darth Lohr
The doomsayers were right! Sickeningly cute pictures of Leia as a Disney princess were only the beginning. Behold, I give you the super-duper major spoiler of the century. The truth of the Episode VII plot has been revealed!!! Once Upon A Time in Wonderland just dropped a big old Star Wars bomb

The Choc
Reading that article makes me think that "Once Upon a Time" is just a rip off of "South Parks" "Imaginationland" Trilogy.
Ryn
I'm sure 99% of Wonderland's viewers missed that reference.
The Human Torch
Star Wars has been Easter Egged (EEd) in Once Upon a Time (OUaT) since the second season. Tron has also been EEd. For the uninitiated OUaT is essentially the video game Kingdom Hearts without Final Fantasy and written by people that don't know what Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy is. Darth Krawlie
Release date: December 18, 2015. Feels weird not being in the summer, but Avengers 2 already has that spot locked up for Disney.
Lucas1138
Various recent bits of "news" that may or may not be worth noting: Star Wars is coming out in 2015, whether it's ready or not. (backed up by today's release date) Arndt got the ax because he couldn't (or wouldn't) rush to make the deadline. From JJ: It became clear that given the time frame and given the process and the way the thing was going that working with Larry in this way was going to get us where we need to be and when we needed to be. Working with Larry Kasdan, especially on a Star Wars movie is kind of unbeatable. ...Working with Michael was a wonderful experience and I couldn’t be a bigger fan of his or adore him more, He’s a wonderful guy and was incredibly helpful in the process. [This event] doesn’t preclude working with Michael again in the future, he is one of the best writers around. And one bit that isn't really news but I don't know where else to put it: Fans write/animate "Open Letter" to JJ Abrams asking him not to screw it up and JJ Abrams responds! The Human Torch
I don't mind a rush (or perhaps better said an adamant time table). Creativity can be born from limitations. The OT had pressure with schedules, finances and technological limitations and it is far superior to the Prequels which for most intents was Lucas Gone Wild. That's simplistic, but I think still valid.

Driver
I don't see McCraig or Chiang on that list? I DO see the production designer from Oblivion and Tron-- which is awesome. Abrams using his DP from the Trek films has me less than excited.
