Cashmere
Francine Prose! I haven't read any of her books yet, but she is on my to-read list, probably at your recommendation.

Darth Krawlie
Best sentence in once and future king: "gawaine and gareth took turns with the fat ass, one of them whacking it while the other rode bareback."
Darth Krawlie
Okay, so Saga does a great job of blending both fantasy and sci fi together. It's absolutely one of the best comics out there, and I love it. So I want more. Is there a book (or book series) that does this too? And not a comedy or a parody, something that really uses the typical fantasy and science fiction tropes and combines them. I mean straight up the Enterprise lands in Middle Earth. There's gotta be something, right?
ShadowDog
Have you tried Piers Anthony's Apprentice Adept series?
Darth Krawlie
I have not, and it looks like as good a place as any to start. Thanks! EDIT: well, the reviews aren't so good, and it seems to have a retarded amount of sexism for the sake of sexism, so... maybe not.
Sheep Murderer
I just ordered the first four Dresdon File books. This had better be worth it.

Guest
The first one bored me so much that I almost fell asleep while listening to the audiobook.
ShadowDog
I think that since I watched the series before reading the books I already had a love for the characters and mythology so that kept me going and interested during the weaker early books. Guest
I still have only seen maybe one episode of the show. Not sure why I never watched the other episodes.
