I vote for the waiver system.

Um, you're an owner, not a player.

And a ****ing stupid owner at that.

I'll admit I laughed out loud at this one.

Hmm, I'm intrigued by the FAAB. It makes actual free agents out of unsigned players, in that they'll go where the money is. Just like real life! It adds a touch of realism & seems to be at least as fair as the other systems. I may regret this later, but I say let's try it!

I vote FAAB.

That presupposes that I give a hoot what they think.

I think I'll just get Jar Jar to grant me emergency powers.

Against FAAB. I could support either option of the waiver system. And making the consolation bracket mean something would have made me pay a whole lot more attention.

Hey you dicks, I'm here.

I vote that transactions be determined by rock, paper, scissors.

If not that, then FAAB.

I'm against consoslation games period. I say that if you're out, you're out. Add some prestige the Uber Bowl.

I actually brought up the idea of wager play around here. So screw you guys AND YOUR MOTHERS.

I think this rule may be worth taking a look at again if such another situation arises, but until then, I vote against.

Sorry guys, my desktop crashed and Nightly wasn't cooperating w/ my Droid.

No worries.

So we have 5 for FAAB and 5 for waivers.

Indeedy do. I would have felt bad if it was a 6-4 split, don't we have a rule that requires a 7-3 majority on major decisions?

Or is that just for ousting Rock? :P

Consolation games are for an upcoming thread.

With it 5-5, and FAAB being the more radical change, I will make the executive decision that we will go with a waiver priority system.

I will see what ESPN is capable of, and come back with options for the league.

There was a discussion I had with Lucas earlier in the season regarding rookie keepers. The subject of discussion was Montario Hardesty - drafted by his NFL team, injured during the pre-season with a season-ending injury, drafted in our 2010 NFF Draft, dropped before the season began and then never having played in a single game that year, then drafted by me in the 2011 NFF Draft. I have since released him, and he has been claimed off waivers and played by another team.

So...should a player be able to maintain rookie keeper elligibility if the team who originally drafts them releases them due to injury and they are claimed or drafted by somebody else before they have a chance to play?

I think that just so long as the player has never played in an NFL game and has never been claimed as a rookie keeper, they should maintain elligibility. Not a huge deal, just a suggestion for these injury situations for the future.
