Kung Fu Jawa
My wife picked up "The Road", by Cormac McCarthy at the library for me today. I wish the guy would use apostrophies. What's his damn problem?
Copper
There isn't a single apostrophe in the whole book; it took awhile for me to get used to it, but about a quarter of the way through it I stopped noticing.
Kung Fu Jawa
Nor are there any commas or quotations. Who does he think he is?!
Copper
McCarthy. Cormac McCarthy. idunno, I picked up another one of his books and I noticed that he didn't use quotation marks for that one either.
Iceheart
I haven't exactly started it yet, but I've got about six hours on the road tomorrow, so I'm going to be reading Lian Hearn's Grass For His Pillow. And a couple of Catullus' poems.
Arica
Right now I'm (re)reading The Hobbit and The Great Gatsby, and shortly I'll be starting The Blithedale Romance by Nathaniel Hawthorne, which I'm not exactly looking forward to, but I'll give it a chance. Destiny Skywalker
I just finished "The Sum of All Fears". First Clancy novel that I wasn't bored in the middle and had to put down for 2 months before I picked it up and loved the ending. Next trip to the library I'll see if I can finally score "Red Rabbit" or "Cardinal of the Kremlin". I haven't managed to find them anywhere. Copper
I'm still reading it. about 2/3rds done. The whole accident thing kinda knocked me off my stride. It's good so far, very interesting. The Bald Little Doctors are quite intriguing, and I LOVE the stuff about the auras and balloon strings. It's a bit long winded though, if you ask me.
