The Human Torch
Maybe the Dakeks didn't care because they didn't see the Tardis as a threat, temporarily speaking. It'd be bad form to ask Starsky and Hutch to help you and then blow up that beautiful Grand Torino... even if you hated the color red.
Darth Virul
Aaaand now I'm trying to imagine what it sounds like when a dalek goes "MEH".

Pardon but in that case the daleks of this season seem pretty stupid. Then again, the Doctor did say "And the daleks need genius"
The Human Torch
I don't think it does. When the scorpion needed help even he waited until he was half way across the river before being himself. These Daleks needed help, but they were (until all knowledge of the Doctor was deleted) probably preparing to strike the Doctor and Tardis as soon as the mood struck them. UK Legend Killa
The Daleks always want the TARDIS. If you trap the Doctor and then send him to his assumed doom then why would you leave his biggest asset behind? You wouldn't, you'd take it with you and take it apart to finally discover the secret of time travel (something they have tried to do before and failed). Ryn
That was very... frenetic. Fun group, with Rory's dad, Nefertiti and Riddell (Moffet's Lestrade!). An opportunity for another time: David Bradley as the First Doctor. We need a multi-Doctor special.
The Human Torch
I have ways wanted another multi-Doc special too. That charity skit with the 10th and 5th Doctors was great fun. I'd love to see Eccleston, Tennant and Smith chew scenery. No disrespect to Bradley, but I want Bill Nighy as the 1st Doctor. If I had magic beans that's what I'd do. I'd figure out how to make a sequel to The Five Doctors... Perhaps some screwed up thing happens to the 5th, allowing him to interact at his present age... like that charity special. Then the other four doctors would be the 1st, 9th, 10th and 11th. Yep. That's the magic bean plan. Now I just need to find a cow to trade. Whoa! That's the idea!!!! The Doctors and The Beanstalk. "Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the blood of an Englishman." "Umm, Timelord, actually. But I understand the confusion." Says The 11th.
Ryn
I love the idea of Nighy, but Bradley's features bear more resemblance to Hartnell, to me. If he's not ever as often cast as such stringy-haired malcontents. And don't forget Paul McGann's 8th Doctor.
UK Legend Killa
The Doctor is literally taking no prisoners this year. He blew up Daleks and killed the space bounty hunter man. I approve.
Ryn
The missiles killed the pirate. He just made sure the trade-off between the Silurian ark and that ship was in his favor.
The Human Torch
The Doctor has never had issues with dishing out justice, poetic or otherwise. This aspect just has never been so deliciously focused on until the "reboot" with Eccleston. But yeah, I enjoyed it... a loud part of my psyche was yelling don't [do] it, though. The part that wears a S on it's chest.
Obsidian
The Doctor and Queen Nefertiti in the future, on a spaceship, with dinosaurs.... Yeah. That was awesome. The premise alone was so absurdly wonderful that I had to tune in, but it really fulfilled on the promise. More of that, please!
UK Legend Killa
The missiles killed the pirate. He just made sure the trade-off between the Silurian ark and that ship was in his favor.True true...but he could have saved the guy. He chose not to. The look on his face said it all as he locked the gates. Freaking awesomes.
Tank
I've always thought Nighy would be a great doctor and have wanted him to do so forever. At first I thought as his own Doc, but realizing they plan to keep him "young" that he'd be great as the first Doctor.
Ryn
Not great, but not bad either. But I liked a lot of the direction/editing.
Obsidian
One very subtle bit of development occurred in the episode, and most people didn't seem to notice. The Doctor revealed his true age (1200 years old). I wonder if that's going to play a part in the finale.
The Human Torch
Not sure about the age thing, but I think what will play a big role is his identity. Not just his name, but his rep. One episode after wiping the Doctor from the Daleks memory we find out a time scanning bounty device can't recognize him either. Now in this episode we have identity confusion and a character just going by The Doctor.
UK Legend Killa
His 'non-identity' will certainly come to the fore at some point. It forces others to ask 'Doctor Who' and we all know that that question can't be answered...
Ryn
This episode goes back to your earlier post, UKLK, about taking no prisoners. It was explicitly stated this time.

The Human Torch
Not sure why they are making such a deal about it now however. This has been a theme since the 9th Doctor. Heck Amy's witnessed it before too.
Ryn
What I'm hoping it does is bring us back full circle to the actions of the 8th Doctor and that impact on his future selves' psyches. ****, that may be the multiple-Doctor plot... Tank
I'd like t see a multi-doc episode for sure, but I'd rather they just get look-a-likes for docs 1-7 the ones that are alive have aged too much. Doc 8 can be whatever ge McGann actually is since we have no idea how long he lived before regenerating. 9-12 are obviously still in fighting shape. No reason Baker, Baker, Davidson and McCoy couldn't do voice overs. Anyway, my one problem with multi doc stories is they never adress the fact that outside of the first doctor, they'd all have a memory of meeting themselves and know it was coming. I think the 5 Doctors adressed that somewhat with some sort of timey-wimey explanation.. but still...
