Primbud
That tells me the Finals need to be more difficult. Then again, we should really be curtailing its time limit - on the real show, plenty of contestant run out of time, and obviously can't research. Darth Wicket
That tells me the Finals need to be more difficult. Then again, we should really be curtailing its time limit - on the real show, plenty of contestant run out of time, and obviously can't research. What I found interesting was that the only times a player had a lead going into FJ and did not win (not only for SJ, but for all Js) was when the leading player had a runaway lead, wagered enough so someone else could win, and did not come up with the correct response. Primbud
The Finals still need to be harder; and the time still needs to be curtailed!
bonnie13
For me, the FJ is worded so it confuses me and I look for the wrong thing and get frustrated. I know a couple where everyone got it but me

Darth Wicket
Here is a new version of the stats program with an updated history file. The new program must be run with the new version of the history file (it won't work with the older history files). This new version also prints box scores for each game. For example, the box score from SJ 30 looks like ... //***************************************************************************// SJ 030//*************************************************************************** R1 Pts CC CI CR DDM DDA Nomaa Jedi Piarra 9000 12 1 0 1 1 bonnie13 6800 14 1 0 0 0 Darth Irish 600 1 0 0 0 0 Pharoah JZA 400 1 0 0 0 0 16800 28 2 0 1 1 R2 Pts CC CI CR DDM DDA Nomaa Jedi Piarra 19900 16 0 2 1 1 bonnie13 1000 13 2 1 0 1 Darth Irish 0 0 0 0 0 0 Pharoah JZA 0 0 0 0 0 0 20900 29 2 3 1 2 G Pts CC CI CR DDM DDA FJM FJA PWR PLC Nomaa Jedi Piarra 40000 28 1 2 2 2 1 1 33 1 bonnie13 7799 27 3 1 0 1 0 1 15 2 Darth Irish 1200 1 0 0 0 0 1 1 8 3 Pharoah JZA 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 4 48999 57 4 3 2 3 2 4 56 AVG Pts CC CCPCT PWR Nomaa Jedi Piarra 13918 14.11 88.50 14.67 bonnie13 3765 09.33 77.78 09.33 Darth Irish 24733 11.68 89.57 15.24 Pharoah JZA 6462 11.41 83.39 08.41 Clues Correct Streaks Of At Least 10Nomaa Jedi Piarra : 13 I also learned some interesting things by going through the box scores. For instance, in all the 38 Jeopardy games, only 6 games have had 100% of all clues answered by contestants. Those were SJ 04 - SJ 06, SJ 17, SJ 19, and SJ 20. EDIT : Here is a new version which adds a new feature to the printing of box scores...career running averages. Each time a box score is printed, it will show the points average, clues correct average, clues correct percentage, and power points average at the point in time when the game was finished (much like a pitcher's ERA or hitter's batting average is shown in a box score). Above is a sample from SJ 30.
Darth Wicket
Here is version 1.5.6 of the stats program. It has everything from the previous version plus some new game records that get printed out in the same file as the box scores. I also moved some records from the normal records file to the game records file (such as most guest appearances in a game, longest game by days, shortest game by days, etc). For a sample of what it looks like check out this entry in my blog...SJ Game Stats EDIT : I have added Lowest Clues Correct Percentage in a Game, and average number of guest appearances, posts, and days per game. Here is the updated version 1.5.7...
Primbud
As it states in my signature, the 40th edition of Sports Jeopardy is scheduled to kick off @ 5 PM ET today! Although others can attend, the game itself, in the interest of fairness, is only open to those people who have never won one before. Good luck - see you there!
