  1. Watching the premiere now. Just 20 minutes in and it sure looks like more of the same, which is both bad and good... ------- POST SHOW EDIT: Actually ended a lot better than it started. With the city being incinerated and everybody taking to boats, perhaps too much going on now to focus on the characters, who have been the series's weakest point thus far. I liked the radio cat and mouse, the floaty dead, and am excited to see evil boat next week!
  2. Season 6 premieres tonight. Season 5 ended on a high note, so it'll be interesting to see if they keep the momentum going.
  3. So, I am often too lazy to change the channel, and since AMC is the last one I watched, I caught the beginning of their TWD marathon last night. And man, the show looked noticeably better. The action sequences, the music and sounds, the gore/dead (mostly) and sets (to an extent), the lighting and photography -- no obvious corners cut, and you could just tell it was a big production-- at least for a cable TV show. 4. Anyone going to catch this? I was previously disinterested in any type of spinoff, but TWD has killed it the last year or so, so I'm willing to give it a try. Starts in a few minutes. I'll record and watch it later tonight or sometime soonish. Apparently it's a pretty different show from TWD. Andy Greenwald has a review for the first episode(s), and he's always stellar, I'll link it after I watch/read.
