  1. Parakeet ...Do you own one?

Oh, I have always had a parakeet. The antics that I wrote about concerned one that I had while in high school. That silly one.

Icy, I thought that the spider was so interesting. He lived 8 months, which I found out is a great life.

  2. The Second Task: Heat #1 Character Description

She did not speak too much, so we did not know where she came from or what her plans were, for I could only imagine. The dresses that she wore were of a light gray or brown. She had made them herself. She wore her black hair in a bun and her steel blue eyes could pierce you to the core. I would go over to her place so that she could tutor me. I noticed that she had a tattoo on her forearm in the shape of a snake swallowing it's tail. She had explained that came from when she had been to the Orient. She then showed me a scar that had come from a bite of a Komodo dragon. She wasn't willing to share any stories. Yet.

    Heat #2 Poetic Pet Description

The smell in the jar was like a basement long forgotten. It contained a small brown grass spider and the web that resembled matted hair. There were small holes in the lid of the glass jar that she kept on the window sill. She would use a small container to catch house flies and carefully put them in the spider's dwelling. As she watched the spider do his work, she thought it looked like a crab. And so she had named him Spicra. The fly got stuck on the web and then Spicra would weave threads around it while the digestive juices would proceed to do their thing. The remains of the fly was like thin paper in the wind.

The parakeet had flown in the middle of the pizza and was pulling cheese up like it was strings of yarn. This had been his latest adventure of which he was like a daring dive bomber attacking a target. Now came the fun part. I caught him in my hand and he squawked like someone was squeezing him to death. He needed a bath and loved to splash around in the enclosed bird bath, but looked like a wet hen.

  3. Hey DW - do you have stats for the lowest amount in a wager category?

"Most Times To Wager 1 Point or Less in Final Jeopardy"?

That might work. I was curious to see that

  4. *looks at posts *

wait until Monday. Let me know. I am thinking of a start time between 5pm - 7pm on whatever day we choose.

I can tell you there will be the rule: "I'll open the board whenever I feel like it, rule." :D

Looks like game will start on Monday (why was i thinking Saturday for?)

  5. Dreamworks has fallen into the pattern of producing one irreverant parody movie after another (generally going to the cheap jokes) and, to me, it's wearing thin.

    Antz (October 2, 1998)

    Shrek (May 18, 2001)

    Shrek 2 (May 19, 2004)

    Shark Tale (October 1, 2004)

    Madagascar (May 27, 2005) (PDI)

Over the Hedge (May 19, 2006)

    Flushed Away (November 3, 2006)

Shrek the Third (May 18, 2007)

Having seen all of the above from Dreamworks, I then to agree. Madagascar, I disliked how the cg was done, things were too perfect shaped on the animals and were annoying to me to view. (Those penguins I thought could steal the show and are what I liked most). But the jokes were too abundant. Then Over the Hedge had some funny moments, but the cg humans are not quite right yet for my viewing. Flushed Away was boring to me, I watched in parts. And Shrek the Third was a rehashing of the other two.
