  1. school starts next week on Monday. WTF do we like sitting in air conditioned spaces that are not our house?
  2. Ps. Voting for male cats is about sexy time as they like to bite the cats neck they are mating with. Hope the girl cat bites back harder lol so he learns.
  3. The cat I took in may have been an almost owl victim. He is a big cat and was probably more than a flying owl could handle. He had two chest puncture wounds and we later discovered another wound in his leg that abscessed. No more outdoor living for Bubby. He is adjusting to living with my cats now.
  4. LOL soon it'll be like you have cats and everything up to the ceiling will need to be baby-proofed.
  5. The tales we will tell in the old folks home. Instead of hearing my Nan talk about five cent bread when I am in the old folks home I will say stuff like "Ozempic was a good drug". LOL
  6. OH GOD Shingles are painful. My Dad gets them. Sorry to hear that. Zathras YAY For Seattle! Although they're burning through some "Hot" weather for them right now. As a person who's lived in Tucson and people go ew it's hot I always give the standard "it's a dry heat". HAHAHAHA
  7. So in the evolution of crazy cat lady I am now a crazy possum lady. Gertrude or Gertie is a blind possum who lives on my porch now. She can't live in the wild fully but rehabbers in my area are full up. Hopefully a lady in Dallas can take her in. She loves strawberries and broccoli. She curls her tail around my blankets I leave out for her and she makes a nest. She still gets out but returns in the morning sometimes because she can't see as she lost an eye and is blind in the other. She doesn't go far and seems to know it's safe on my porch and that she's going to get something to eat.
  8. I think you maybe surprised by how quick you may get a job offer. I don't know if I would want to move somewhere that expensive though even with the ocean. My dream retirement has me moving to Savannah GA. LOL
  9. Well they killed the student loan payoff thing too, so there's that too. I lot of people feel that students should pay what they owe but I think that goes to what Destiny Skywalker said about greedy boomers (who made it in college if they went a LOT cheaper than the rest of us) and mixed issues GenXers (who had to pay what they owed). My thing is I think Affirmative Action was important to create a college experience that actually helped a lot of people, even if they had a harder time getting into their college of choice if they were white. Different cultures helped us learn and diversified the college experience.
  10. That's what's so sad. There was more regarding who can be served by businesses too. The GOP got the SCOTUS it wanted but I don't think I like going back in time like this.
  11. It comes down from the Supreme Court today! I don't think we're quite there to rescind this policy. Workplaces were finally starting to align to policies for a more diverse workplace. What's more important?
  12. Originally the kids Mom was slated to go on that sub with her husband but for fathers day it was deemed the boy would go because Mom had a case of HELL NO'S. The kid didn't want to go but was going to make something out of it by breaking a Rubiks Cube record under sea. Try and make Dad happy. Suddenly healthy boundaries seems like a good thing.
  13. awe. I am still working on making my newest cat, Bubby, feel secure. He mostly naps under a chair and is scared I'm going to kick him out at any moment like his previous owner so when he's sun bathing or laying on the bed and I come in the room close to the door outside he runs and hides. I've left the door open and he doesn't want to go outside and run away so he wants to stay he's just got issues. He was a cat who was abandoned many years ago by a jerk condo owner and lately something or someone was attacking him and he's had to have a number of stitches on his backside and front chest for piercing or cut skin. So I determined he needed to live inside the rest of his life. He's been outside for 9 years after being kicked out. Just keep singing to them and talking to them and feeding them and trying to play and sitting in the bathroom with them.
  14. Currently it looks like they're not having NONE of this. HAHAHAHAHA.
  15. Trust issues with the government and media should be thought about. Apparently the Navy heard the implosion of the sub and knew what happened but the search and media about it kept on for days after the implosion giving people a kinda story and hope they'd be found and spending tons of money to find said sub which literally blew up. I guess searching for the sub was a kind of sea exploration. UGH. At least they died instantly.
  16. Biden has had some pretty suck ratings. I dunno.
  17. This happens kinda to immigrants all the time. Lost at sea deaths. While the immigrants weren’t in submersibles they were trying to get somewhere on the ocean but always an under reported statistic.
  18. I asked a group of coworkers today at a summer meeting if they'd rather die in space like that or die under the sea like that. Space has a better view. I am definitely for becoming space junk. Turns out this company's Yelp rating is the suck. And it's hilarious the amount of meme's this generated. America proves that it's way of coping with stuff is, well, cracking jokes. Tommy freaked out on Facebook and was like it's NOT FUNNY YA'LL!
  19. First of all they paid 250000 to get locked in a sub with no windows and is driven by a Logitech game controller. second of all it’s sealed from the outside. third of all is the titanic really worth it?
  20. $259! Whew. Just needed a new battery. They told me about the nine other things wrong with my car sooooo. I dunno. It needs a new timing belt and brakes and a cooling system flush for the big dollar stuff. We were over 117 degrees yesterday so I could see that getting the battery plus it’s the first time I needed to replace it since I bought it. Going to schedule all that other stuff because they quoted me 2800$ and that’s still cheaper than a new car!
  21. Battery died on the Prius in the heat. 3 hours for a tow truck. I may have ranted and been a crazy person more than twice today. Just now got home from summer school.
  22. Hahaha Lately I'm into cider beers. OH MY GOD they have some sort of white claw version of Malibu rum flavors and I want to try them but it's weird because I don't really want to be seen actually drinking them so now I'm drinking alone with my cats. AWKWARD.
  23. HAHAHA. Don't fall for the oops he did something utterly ridiculous he'll never get elected now because I did and I was disappointed when Hillary lost and we went through endless this will be the time he goes to jail fun while he was president and he made it through a WHOLE 4 years. He's better than teflon!
  24. I understand the love of male cats but after having MANY OF THEM I would say it's a win win either way. There is a rumor going around that girl cats tend to spray more and are more destructive but honestly it's a rumor as ALL my cats are extra extra extra destructive. Just neuter EARLY and it's not a problem with spraying. Two kittens together is the best option because they can focus on each other for play and learn that biting and scratching hurts so when they play with you it's not as hurtful because they don't know what it feels like to be bitten or scratched and you biting back is maybe not the same learning lesson. LOL I am down to five indoor and three outdoor cats now. I also whole heartedly endorse adopting more babies after the passing of a cat. I put up a bird feeder outside a window and they watch bird tv all day and my sisters cat has been extra demandy of treatohs.
