  1. This movie is soooo good. I'm going on record saying this is the best X-Men related film Fox has put out yet. Jackman and Stewart both really went all out for this one and X-23 was excellent! The actress played her so well.

I would've liked to have known a bit more details about

the Westchester Incident, if I remember right, they said 6 of the X-Men died during it. I guess that would mean all the main members we've seen in the movies. And I'll admit to getting teared up when Logan died, "So this is what it feels like..."

    .

I urge everyone to go out and see it, it is seriously very good. Oh, and don't bring kids, it's super violent!

  2. I kind of saw the mother Rittenhouse connection coming, so that twist felt a bit flat to me. I wasn't surprised, anyway. Makes me wonder if her mom ever planned on letting her know about it in the original timeline, being sick and all. I almost feel like it could be part of their plan to change history. Imagine if Lucy discovered that her mother found that changing her past meant becoming well. She didn't seem too concerned about a daughter she used to have!

I wonder what the Jiya stuff is, too. Is she seeing possible futures? Alternate presents?

Also, isn't this all happening in the past? I kow they said they couldn't travel to the future, but now we know from Flynn that he met an older Lucy, so the future has already happened?

  3. I didn't know quite what to make of this show at first. It was kind of slow to get going and was a bit weird and trippy. After watching the second ep, I've decided that i'm really digging it! really enjoying the style of this series so far, especially the late 60's/early 70's vibe it has. Not sure if it's supposed to take place then, though or if this is just the look?

It's a neat mix of sci-fi with a bit of creepy weirdness thrown in. What's the deal with that, umm...guy he keeps seeing? Is he another mutant or just a product of his mind? I guess it could be either since in the comics, Legion has tons of multiple personalities, each with their own mutant power. I don't know if that's where they're going with here since he seems to have Jean Grey type abilities in this series.

  4. Still loving it, too! Only one more episode left of the season, sadly, but they did extend it from the original 10 episodes it was supposed to be. I'm liking it a lot more as the team is taking more risks now and is on the run. I feel like the "going after Flynn to stop his weekly escapade" thing was going to get pretty old after a while.

And someone needs to punch Mason in the face!

  5. Reposting this here...

I watched the premiere of this last night. It has the familiar formula, of course but the main character feels like more of a side character to me. Not sure what it is but he just isn't as interesting as Jack was, even at the start. So far it is standing on it's own without anyone from the original series showing up. Then again, I think most of them are dead, anyways. :p

There is a woman on the show who is supposed to be a cousin of Edgar Stiles but so far that's it as far as referencing the first series.

Totally going to keep watching because I'm a sucker for 24!

Edit: Oh and I just posted this in Superheroes...<_<

  7. Oh and SW cartoons are not canon.

But they can be! We just had Saw from TCW show up in Rogue One, after all.

He's been alive since TPM, he basically escaped after being cut in half and hid away for 10 years going mad in the process. The clone wars introduced his two brothers Savage and Feral (true story)

I've been watching Clone Wars just recently for the first time. Maybe I forgot already, but I don't remember this Feral guy. Savage Opress became Dooku's apprentice and later he tracked down his brother Maul. Is this Feral guy someone retconned in Rebels?

Feral was in TCW during season three when he fought Ventress with Savage! I don't think they've mentioned him at all in Rebels.

  8. I hope they make the next Doctor a black woman just to piss people off.

LOL, this reminds me of the amazing amount of hatred there is among gamers for the character of Nadine from the last Uncharted. Since she

doesn't die in the end, there were gamers who wanted her to show up in the DLC just so she could be killed :|

I'm bummed though, I feel like Capaldi never really hit his stride. I don't think Moffat was a good fit for him. He's had a ton of great performances and moments, but they were in between a lot of stupid Moffat stuff. And I say that as a person who hates Whovians bashing on show-runners.

I agree about Capaldi, I don't think he really got a moment to shine in the role. I think Heaven Sent was one of his best episodes.

  9. The Master switched genders, and the never-depicted Corsair (see "The Doctor's Wife" episode) reportedly did as well. If Time Lords can regenerate every cell in their body, change height, hair (perfectly styled at that), weight, then why not gender or skin color, or both? Would be fun. So, does Chibnall get to cast the Thirteenth Doctor, or will Moffat do it again?

In that case, I recommend Hayley Atwell! The article says she expressed interest!

  10. So Capaldi has announced that he is leaving the role! This year's Christmas special will be his last episode. That'll be three seasons, so pretty standard for someone to play the part.

But! Who (ha!) will be next to take up the role? There's some speculation that it will either be a non caucasian or even a woman actor in the role. I think it would be weird for the character to be a woman, does regeneration even work that way?

  11. So I guess no one else watched? I'm up to episode 5, it's pretty cheesy and none of the characters are very likeable. Miss Quill is, in a bitchy kind of way? I was cringing a bit on the acting for the last couple episodes, that and the battle scenes with the Shadowkin were really eeesh.

I also had to laugh at people getting killed by flower petals! Good show for the cringiness of it all, I suppose.

  12. So I just checked out the first episode of this Doctor Who spinoff. Yes, another DW spinoff is on the air! I only just found out about it after reading about the Christmas special and they mentioned it in the article.

It was better than I thought it would be. Despite it taking place in a school, it feels more like it's aiming at the Torchlight crowd than the Sarah Jane ones. The show is a bit darker than DW, with a few surprisingly violent scenes (impalement of one character and another getting their leg lopped off). Not sure if the rest of the series will follow this tone but judging by the previews, I'd say it does.

And of course, there is a cameo from a legendary individual known throughout time and space!

  13. So...anyone watch the Christmas special? It was, well, okay? The superhero thing was kind of weird. So is it now generally known that there is a Superman type guy flying around?

And why the heck was the Doctor there for when Grant was a kid? I mean, he was building something but couldn't finish it because Grant ate the crystal.

Oh, and Nardole is one of my new favorite characters on the series! Glad to see he will be in the coming season.

  14. Freddie Prinze also let it slip that we will find out what happened at the end of the Ahsoka/Vader duel! He didn't say when, so it may not be this season but said we will find out from another character, or their perspective, anyway. Popular theories are either Vader or Bendu.

Also, does anyone else absolutely love Bendu's voice? I want a documentary with the actor narrating it!
