  1. Well, I'm still at the beginning. I just did the mission where you sneak into Konpeki Plaza and see the dude off his father, then you have to escape. That was pretty intense. I was thinking while your character is hiding this game would be amazing in VR.

  2. I'm definitely a go in blind type, I like to just see what happens. Like if there are choices, I'd rather make my own decisions without knowing the outcomes. Doesn't always work out since I think I got the worst ending in Detroit: Become Human. :P

I did get pretty wrecked in a street fight with some gang members until I found out I could hide out on a rooftop and pick them off one by one. I had to laugh at the guy's voice when they would toss a grenade my way "Who wants a grenaaaade!"

You should have a katana in your weapon stash in the apartment I think. Otherwise you can get them from the boxer guy, or any shop that sells melee weapons. In the map you can toggle it onto different modes so you can see just shops and services or quests  etc

I'll have to go back and talk to the boxer, I walked by him before as I just wanted to hang with Jackie.

It is great— and also amusing that literally the first thing modders do with any game is to figure out how to get people naked and overly endowed.

Just wait until Spider-Man comes out for PC!

I just started playing this, it's pretty fun so far. I'm guessing you can't get the katana until later on.

I wish every single elected office had a term limit. Meaning, only one term each. New government entirely every election cycle. I don’t care how impractical that is.

I would give two terms, like the president gets. We also have reps that are around 90, retire already! There should be a forced retirement age, make it 70 or so. I think SC judges should only be on there for a limited time, too. Come to think of it, I feel like the people should have more of a say in appointing judges instead of the reps. Like, they're put in by a specific party who have an agenda, maybe get some independent people to appoint them instead.

It played out a lot more like a condensed TV series than a movie, which is sort of where this weird hybrid is with the MCU anyways. We've always had feature length movies that are just the latest adventure of the Avengers, and now we have TV shows that are elongated films and now it's all just confusing. But, yes, I understand that reshoots are probably mostly to blame for that with this movie.

This one probably needed Wandavision to really enjoy, because the emotional payoff only works if you know what Wanda went through and what she did and why she "needed" her sons. BUT this movie also pooped on her growth throughout that series while at the same time shouting at us "IT ISN'T WANDA IT'S THE DARKHOLD" which also pooped on the character and stole her agency. I think they would have done better to include a scene where it was made clear that Wanda was actually controlling the Darkhold instead of it controlling her. That gives her agency and shows that she's insanely powerful.

Things I did like - the movie was about Strange fighting against being like every other Strange, and it still maintained the end fight really being between the women involved, and Strange moving to a supporting role.  It makes sense that America would need someone like that, because her whole deal is that she's afraid of her power, and that's actually pretty similar to how society treats women. Women aren't supposed to be powerful, so when, as a man, you have the opportunity to support a woman using her own power, that's one of the best things you can do. I come across if professionally a lot, where women I work with can't speak for themselves until they know they have someone in their corner who is going to support them.

I think that with the time travel and multiverse stuff, they're working on a destruction of the multiverse. We're going to get some multiverse adventures but in Avengers 6 or 7 it's going to be destroyed and we'll lose some heroes but we'll pull in new ones of variants from other universes. It's going to be a way of rebooting but keeping a lot of characters with new actors.

Speaking of which, I really liked seeing Krasinski as Reed Richards. I know fans have been dream casting him for a while, but I never really saw it, but everyone in the Illuminati knocked it out of the park. The few comics I've read were some collections of old Marvel comics, including original Fantastic Four and original X-Men, and I really thought he did a great job with Richards.

Also - what's going on with Strange's eye in the end?

Strange has that third eye in the comics! In this, it looks like he got it from using the Darkhold. I thought that after credits scene was weird because in the first one he's screaming in pain from it and in the next one he's totally fine.

  7. From what I've read, it sounds more like a continuation of the original show. I've only seen a few episodes of the old series, but I love time travel stuff so I'll give it a whirl.

  8. This was the best finale out of every season, bar none! So bummed about

    Eddie dying

    and they had me when

Max was dying, I legit thought that was it for her

. Can't believe how many emotional moments there were in this one, I don't know how they will be able to top this one.

  9. Loved this episode even more! So am I guessing right that her crush actually is her cousin as she was pretending he was in the cafe? Laughed at the "hero landing" moment but I knew right then something was going to go wrong. It was even potentially worse since that looked like a longer fall than where he was when he was hanging out the window.

  10. Holy crap, Vader just straight up stopping the ship from taking off with the Force was a pretty badass moment! Also, his fight with Reva showed just how unimpressive the Inquisitors are against a trained Sith. Good enough to impress the rubes but when it comes down to it, they're just not that good.

Yeah I am not seeing all the hype for Reva, either.  Serviceable as a lackey villain I suppose, but she is not all that interesting to me.   That said, I also thought of ANH with the droid tracker.  Not a complaint really because the only villain I care about in this series is Vader.  He is badass in this.

As for the tomb, I didn't see any jedi I recognized, either.  There was a lingering shot on one jedi creature that seemed like we were supposed to know who it was, which I first thought was Jar Jar, but I was wrong.  Probably from TCW if I were a betting man.

I recognized the first one they showed but I had to look up his name because I couldn't remember it. That was Tera Sinube and he showed up a few times in the Clone Wars show, his only big appearance was an episode where Ahsoka lost her lightsaber to a thief.

  12. Starts today! It was better than I thought it would be from the trailer, still comes across a bit CW-ish but the characters are likeable. And she totally has the Nega Bands in this! There is a brief moment where she

seems to briefly go to the Negative Zone

when she first puts it on. Powers seem a bit Green Lanterny because of this but I don't mind the change.

I always took that line to mean “when I left the Jedi Order.” Vader is referring to the point in time when he betrayed the Jedi and decided to follow Palpatine’s Sith ways. That’s why in Revenge of the Sith post-betrayal, Anakin talks about his new powers and in the OT he continually reminds Luke about he power of the dark side. That’s what his point-of-view in ANH was when he said that line to Obi Wan. It wasn’t a literal, “last time we fought” line.

It just seems like a weird thing to say if they had fought again already. It's like Vader is George Costanza in  that Seinfeld episode, "That's what I should have said!"

My guess is Vader will get meaner, Obi-Wan will grow less afraid, then try to appeal to Anakin on last time to try and turn him back. That will fail when Vader just doubles down on being worse. They'll fight, and it will be the reverse of Mustafar when Vader will walk away thinking he has won and Obi-Wan is dead.

Wouldn't this kind of mess up the line in ANH "When I left you I was the learner, now I am the master"? I feel like to make sense, Obi should soundly beat Vader one more time to show he still has some tricks Vader doesn't anticipate.

  15. Finished the new season! Between this and Kenobi, that's more television in one weekend than I'm used to. But I loved it! And now we have to wait a whole month for the conclusion, argh!
