I like dogs. I like most animals and pets. I don't have a dog, cause currently I can't be fucked with another 4 year old. Trouble is most people are selfish arseholes and this translates into dog ownership as well as parenting and bad behaviour in public. The number of times people try convince me their dog is 'a good boy' whilst he's barking in the shop while other people are trying to eat. If I owned the place I'd have a flat no dogs inside rule. I can't abide four legged friends in a place where humans eat. If I were to get a dog it'd probably be a lurcher. Greyhound crossbreed with something else, preferably shaggy..they go fast as fuck for an hour then chill on the sofa/dogbed, and generally dont bark. That's my kinda pooch.

Currently reading The Winter King by Bernard Cornwall and it's bloody brilliant.

Consumerism reinforced through predatory social media platforms. Working like a charm

From an outside perspective, Biden seems like Satan in a Sunday hat. Albeit Satan with neurodegenerative disease. And an absolute warhawk. Not to be trusted with the keys. Trump seems like a political opportunist with zero scruples and zero actual values so he'll do whatever it takes to win. But potentially might be less of a warhawk as it seems he wants more of an isolationist policy, which if I'm honest, seems like it's better for the rest of the world if the US kept its beak out of everyone else's business. Neither of them can string a coherent sentence together. Better the devil you know?

We have a lot of non-winter people here.

I don't understand freedom units, but it's pretty chilly here. Only -2 though -
High-falootin elves and grumpy dwarves, muscular boneheads wielding gigantic swords

Not to nit pick cause I largely agree but I'm going to pick some nits... I can get past the chainmail wearing Ubermensch warrior taking out scores of enemies single-handed, cause from what I've heard a well trained and seasoned mideaval warrior could be worth at least half a dozen regular men at arms, and a half dozen more untrained levies. But what I can't get past is how few men at arms wear actual fucking chainmail or armour in supposedly historical TV series. They're all in some crazy waffle knit leather patchwork stuff that looks ridiculous!

Yep. Sliding on into middle age with my health, sanity? intact it seems. Also I've just realised it means I've been posting at nightly under various guises for... 23 years or so... crazy

Every now and again ill read something. I know I should read more. I used to read a lot, but since games have been getting better and better I've found them to be my favourite way to consume narrative. I listen to a lot of podcasts so consume a lot of non fiction in that way.

NORAD having an official Santa GPS tracker is some god-tier gaslighting/deception tactics. Kids don't stand a chance for truth with that level collaboration. Makes ya wonder...

Yeah that's fair. Some of those natural wines are spenny. Like you can get half decent conventional wine for £10-£12 but naturals the average price for something tasty seems to be closer to £18. They're definitely treats more for immediate close family rather than second cousins and aunts and stuff.

I don't know if it's a trope or just shitty writing.. but I hate series where they add twist after twist after twist. It happens a lot in edgy netflix crime dramas.. but wait here's another twist, and anoyher twist, and before you know it all logic and plot is tied up in knots

Bullying sucks. Particularly since the only way to make it stop (with boys at least) is violence, and then that doesn't always work and sometimes can make things worse. I got bullied in school a lot by this particular kid and it didn't stop till I snapped and punched him in the face a few times. I then ran away and cried cause I felt bad. But the bullying stopped. My wife was getting bullied when she was a kid too and asked her dad what to do. He was like, "ahh just punch him in the face and tell him where to go". So she did. Got in trouble with the school as did her dad but the bullying stopped. But then a guy I know stood up for himself and bet up his bully, then the bully came back with a crew of friends and ganged up on him. But he went to a tough school. Middle class and posh kids are generally ******* though and violent reaction usually shocks them enough to stop. It's kids that get violence in their day to day that shrug that sort of thing off. This is terrible advice so ignore me. Unless you get Q into jiu-jitsu or judo. Then she could safely put someone in their place. More a preventative measure really. When my son turns 5 we are going to get him into jiu-jitsu. If for no other reason to help expend that kinetic boy energy that is constantly on the boil.

To be fair farmers and hunters use horses all the time, particularly in mountainous terrain. Also rebel moon looks terrible. I've read some pretty funny user reviews. But the general consensus seems to be a 13 year old boy must've written it.

Im glad you had a blast! I'm replaying it as a heroic barbarian. My first play through I went as indulging the dark urge evil character and it is so drastically different it's crazy.

Talisker- is a very nice single malt from Skye around £40-£50 (from memory)a bottle and it looks classy. https://www.malts.com/en-row/brands/talisker Personally I prefer Japanese whiskey than scotch, it's generally way smoother but more often they are blend than single malt. I'm not a whisky nerd but I generally don't like whiskey that makes me feel like it's trying to make me prove how much of a man I am by drinking it. if you can find it I highly recommend Yamazaki, which is a single malt. Might be creeping up in the more expensive territory though https://www.distillersdirect.com/products/suntory-yamazaki-distillers-reserve-70cl?variant=42147441410229¤cy=GBP&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4NWrBhD-ARIsAFCKwWu7wTDZzeKjASmqfIEifgZGaEHOM0zhIvXaQ99rK-86GTrmx8XtAsoaAijMEALw_wcB My neighbour who is a proper scotch nerd says 12 year old is the magic number. Something about 12year aged single malt makes it way smoother than younger whiskeys. I don't know why, but he had some long winded answer why

It'll probably be a longer wait for a PC release too since they seem to do consoles first which is a bummer for me

How's the insurance on EVs? Cause in the UK it's gone up massively because it's so expensive to repair litterally anything with EVs. People finding minor prangs effecting battery costing £10k and companies not paying out etc

GTA VI trailer release baby Fuck yeah, thats on the list of anticipated games. Might need some new pc parts for this one. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=inQelDKULOQ

Inquisitor Martyr is an ok ARPG, but other than that I'm not too familiar with 40k games. I know there is a new space marine FPS in the works which will be epic, and this new Rogue Trader from Owlcat is meant to be awesome. But it's an Isometric turn based RPG so may not tick all your boxes

Did you try throwing it out the window?
