  1. Boom—got Jacob’s old SNES going. I figured out you have to firmly push the cartridge in to get it to work. It was Bennett’s 5th birthday. I have realized how far toys have come. You can build a Mario level out of legos then play it on n your phone…wtf is the wizardry.

  6. Things have been going well. I’m on a couple times a week, and I’ve really helped some people just by reaching out to them. Keeping the friends list tiny means that each person has value and I can check on them. And I’ve heard a lot about how lonely and disconnected people are, when they get past the surface and into the real nitty gritty, so I’m glad I’m able to help in some small way.

  7. Honestly I don't remember. I hadn't really played it for a few years before I sent it to you. I mean, I tested out every game to make sure it all worked, but I don't remember anything being finicky.

  12. This story is starting to have a happy ending. This bitch found out earlier this year that getting rid of me wasn't going to be a walk in the park. I think I've written before about how they (she and a couple of cohorts) tried to replace me and were constantly trying to go over my head to make complaints. Their problem back then was the fact that the people over my head who they were complaining to are friends of mine and our friendships predate our scouting relationships, so every time they received a complaint about me they weren't pre-disposed to take it at face value because they kno

  13. Little guy is doing really well at his new school. They do a point system where he can earn 25 points every 30 minutes and he usually earns 20-25. They started sending him to a gen ed class for about 30 minutes a day to start and during a favorite subject (in his case, math). I am hopeful that they will be able to get him transitioned to gen ed full time by the end of the year, which they have agreed is their goal for him. He is at a K-2 school so they would like to get him back to his local neighborhood school for next year. I dont have a lot of communication with the teacher other than the d

  14. I think the people like that are the most afraid. They're afraid of anything being slightly outside the norm. Afraid of having to make hard choices and deal with things not being as expected. We're all struggling with life no longer being what we considered normal, but these are people who are SO wrapped up in what they viewed as normal that they can't deal with anything even slightly outside of that, let alone a global pandemic. Life must be ordered the way they want it, or it's wrong and evil. And they have the temerity to call mask wearers cowards.
