  2. Regarding how girls and boys need to learn to work together. One of these things need to happen before the other. I can tell you that some ugly stuff happens in the work place and even in the school environment. Girls and women are regularly assigned housekeeping tasks on coed teams and in the office. They are made to compete with each other for leadership roles because here, we're throwing you girls a token leadership role to shut you up. I joined an engineering senior design team and was immediately given the task of managing the budget because I was the only woman and was not given any

  4. I went on a mile walk! This is the furthest I’ve been able to go since I got COVID. Tomorrow I’m going to start a challenge where I am starting with one push-up and then adding one each day. That seems really pathetic, but that’s where I am physically right now, and it’s taken a long time to get here.

  6. Can't outrun (or walk) a bad diet. That's definitely my issue. Too much wine and Girl Scout cookies. I get in 10-12k steps a day, mostly thanks to the dog needing walks daily or she makes us nuts.

  7. Most scouting programs around the world are co-ed. It's just the US where our 2 major organizations aren't. BSA actually has boys and girls accepted into every level of our scouting - Venturing Scouts and Sea Scouts have been co-ed for decades and are for older kids (14-20), Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts) is for boys and girls aged 11-17 but troops are single gender, Cub Scouts is for K-5th and whole packs can be all boys, all girls, or co-ed but individual dens (divided by grade) are supposed to be single-gender. (And I say "supposed to be single-gender" because I don't know many packs that

  8. You mean antibodies? What I have seen from studies so far, there is some evidence that mothers will pass antibodies on to their babies, but not anything from the vaccine, itself. The distinction, while seemingly subtle, is an important one because passing on the antibodies is good, but giving material from the vaccine to their babies would be troubling, especially since there are no studies yet on safety of the vaccines for infants. With all of the people out there who are skeptical about the vaccine, it is actually really important that we all make such distinctions.

  10. Let me see if I can fill in....... Well you see, in the book Tales From Jabbas Palace Volume 38, Chapter 332, it's widely established that all prisoners and slaves are escorted via skiff to the Sarlaac. And it's customary for droids to always watch Salaac feedings from the front row! So clearly Luke already knew it would pan out that way. I can't believe none of you knew that. I mean, am I the only SW fan in here?

  12. What you are saying here is probably the best (worst) trick the far right has done. They've made the non radical people on the right identify with the awful elements of the right as being on "their side." The fact is most Americans, left and right are good people. The enemy of your average Republican is not your average Democrat. Its the people who are too far and radical on either side of the spectrum who are actually all of our enemies. The fact is though that right now the far right is a bigger problem than the far left. Not that far right positions are any worse than extreme far left posit

  14. I was at some restaurant picking up food with my sister yesterday and waiting in line - six feet apart - and I overheard some guy talking to his buddies about how well they riot and burn a few things down but as tax payers we went to Washington DC and messed up a little bit of Congress and we're the criminals. Like because their paltry taxes they pay gives them the excuse to ransack Congress. And I literally felt like my Dad when I said "Two wrongs don't make a right." And they told me to shut up but I was pissed at that comment. "So someone burns a Wendy's down and that's your excuse to go to

  18. Plus Asians are an easy punching bag because of the media reported success of Asians. People believe that Asians are doing so well that it’s punching up to go after them. Someone recently explained to me that it’s impossible to be racist against Asians because racism includes an element of suppression and Asians are successful.
