  1. No it's fine, it's a good conversation to have. I would love to see an affordable or free healthcare system. My insurance i get through work gets worse every year. Obamacare sucked before Trump even got ahold of it. And it didn't affect the rich. it affected me. The middle class. it turned my deductibles from $800 family to $2500 a year. It doubled my insurance costs. All the insurance companies did was pass their expenses down to the middle class. Since Obamacare started in what...2012?... it's cost me $10's of thousands of dollars over the last 8 years. In general, i just don't think taxing

  2. Good. Let them cannibalize themselves. Democrats and leftists do it all the time over their bullshit purity tests, it's only right that the right finally does it.

  4. The Mandalorian's budget is around $16mil per episode. It's one of the most expensive shows in production, and the only show at that level that isn't spending its money on Star Power. For them it's all going into the technology to make it look as good as the movies. We all love Mark Hamill, but he's not A-list. They can afford him fine. He can hold himself hostage to some extent, but they have enough footage, audio, and CG models of him already that they could easily make something with zero input from him and just pay his likeness fee.

  6. I don't see Filoni or Favreau turning down a chance to have Luke on the show at some point. I think the main thing standing in the way is MH agreeing to it. I think MH has hard feelings about how the ST went down, and he might be warry of reprising Luke. He'd probably want some type of guarantees, so that he doesn't end up as an ineffectual glorified cameo, that literally doesn't do anything important until his last scene.

  7. I’m not trying to argue, I’m genuinely curious - if politicians wouldn’t create more loopholes for the rich, would you support any of those programs? Are you opposed to them because you think they’re inherently bad, or because you’re afraid of tax increases for the middle class?

  8. https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/statistics/historical-highest-marginal-income-tax-rates It is interesting that we had a marginal tax rate for the top 1% at 94% at the end of WW2 and it slowly declined to about 70% at the beginning of the 1980s (tax rates for the poor and middle class have remained fairly stable in this time). With that money we built up our national infrastructure (such as the instate system), invested heavily in education (including paying the bulk of college costs for people in these decades), went to the fucking moon, had an arms race, Korean, and Vietnam Wars, starte

  9. As I was reading that post I assumed he was mocking the sort of "internet Star Wars fan". Its kind of shocking that he was serious. Hard to believe really. Its the kind of thing that makes all subsequent opinions on Star Wars from him be completely irrelevant. If you are going to take a lego cartoon that serious I just think you are beyond help.
