Ms. Spam
So far this is shaping up to be an entertaining finale. The Yankees are outdone by the Astros. And now there's this Pirates pitcher Juan Rodriguez who punches a Gatorade cooler.

Darth Krawlie
You know how disappointed I was when they moved the Astros to the AL instead of the Marlins? It could have REALLY happened.
Metropolis
There was also flying cars in Back to the Future. And how about those dust resistant books? Screw the Cubs. It warms my heart that the Fish have 2 World Series Championships and the Cubs still have that billy goat.
3 & 6 years to go...
Great pitching by Arietta last night. Now, when does he pitch against the Cardinals? When does that series start anyway?

Metropolis
After four years it has gone from being an eye sore to "oh that thing is still there". It is what you get when your sorry ass owner is an art dealer.
Lucas1138
Cubs! I'll never claim to be a superfan, but I did live there for 4 years and they were definitely my Chicago team of choice. Plus they've got former Hoosier Kyle Schwarber, who looks incredible, for me to root for. Plus, I hate the Cardinals (like any sane person), so that's an added benefit of rooting for the Cubs in this series. I love the AL lineup, all unoffensive teams. Cardinals are the only NL team I would actively root against.
Darth Krawlie
I only watch baseball during the playoffs and i agree completely. It'd be great to have someone other than the cardinals, Giants, Yankees, and Red Sox to win a World Series ever again.

Lucas1138
And the Mets should still throw at him whenever the opportunity next arises.

Metropolis
Not in the 40 years I've been on this earth. "I wish I could go back to the beginning of the season and put some money on the Cubbies." Ha!
Darth Wicket
Cubs get swept out of the playoffs on Back to the Future Day. Seems like Old Biff from the Future managed to change the Cubs winning the WS this year.

Darth Wicket
I need more Darth Wicket in my life. I haven't had much free time recently. Been really busy with work and my kids. I still try to stop by every now and then. So Mets Royals? I can live with that. This past year's playoffs were pretty cool in terms of the teams that were in it. How many people (at the beginning of the season) were expecting the final four teams to be Royals, Blue Jays, Mets, and Cubs? It also was almost the Astros instead of the Royals. It's nice to see some other teams make it besides the usual suspects and the teams that spend a lot on payroll.
