Guest Posted July 3, 2015 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Today is the company holiday, so I get paid really well for being here, but nobody thinks of today as a holiday so people are calling in like crazy. We're also super behind, so maybe there should have been more of a push to have more staffing today. But I'm getting double time and a half and I'm not missing out on anything. So... Still a win. This fact was periodically brought to my attention throughout the day by idiots calling our office and then asking me, "Are you open today?". To which the voices in my head always responded either "Of course we're open, dumbass, why else would I be answering the phone?!?" or simply "Yes, we're open. fuck YOU!!!". 3 & 6 years to go... Posted July 7, 2015 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Same with me. Having a Friday off really makes the weekend long. Before you say, 'duh', let me explain. With a week off - or the 9 days from Saturday to the following weekend's Sunday - it seems to fly by. With Friday off, there was a difference. It seemed to last forever.
