ShadowDog
Now that was a flawlessly awesome season premiere. This is currently the best written show on network TV. Hands down. Action, humor, intrigue, overarcing mythology, character development, dialogue ... all of it hitting on all cylinders.
Lucas1138
Once upon a time I watched the first season and was totally in love with this show... then I just got stupid busy and fell behind and never caught up. I've never forgotten about you Person of Interest, I promise I'll be back for you.

Ms. Spam
Have not watched it yet. If I can get away with tomorrow for lunch!
pavonis
Thoroughly enjoyed the fourth season première. Looks like they've found a way to keep going despite the setbacks of season 3. I'm not clear on what group Shaw just fell in with though. And why was she not made a cop, too? She ha the exact same skill set as Reese. Or is he Riley now? Did the Machine just give them a Batcave? ShadowDog
I think the machine recognized she could never function long term as a cop because her peers would realize something is wrong with her which would put her under scruntiny she or none of them can afford. Ms. Spam
I like to think Roots sense of humor went into Shaw's alternate identity. Root doesn't want an excuse to visit Reese. She wants one to visit Shaw. Reese better be a barista was funny.
Ms. Spam
I dunno how I feel about underground hideout. By far a great ep. to start the season. And this is just ep 2!
pavonis
Well, the latest episode, "If-Then-Else", was first shocking, followed by relief and amusement, with an ending I didn't see coming. I liked the insight into how the Machine sees the world. It has quite a sophisticated theory of mind for its assets and admin. PoI is definitely the hardest science fiction show on TV, and most people don't even realize it. A show best described as being about battling artificial intelligences (or super-intelligences) would usually be on Fox or Syfy, and have been canceled by now. ShadowDog
Exactly. This is hands down the best written currently produced show on TV right now. I hate hate hate the ending of this ep though.
Ms. Spam
Yeah. I didn't like it but it works for the team because Shaw had been unearthed which meant everyone would be eventually. On some boards there is bemoaning of the gay agenda which i think is funny. There are people who quit the series way back in season one when the son was found be gay in one of the episodes. Ms. Spam
YES! Finally a good episode! I don't know why but it feels better when it is just Reese, Fusco and Finch.
Ms. Spam
So opinions on the close of the season? What do you guys think will happen? Was the return of Taraji as Detective Carter not the best one of the season?
Ms. Spam
They're finally airing season 6. Going to burn off the episodes pretty quick so CBS can give us another iteration of Criminal Minds.
