Destiny Skywalker
I remember Cashmere posting years ago about all these free Kindle books that were just disguised Christianity conversion books. I was bouncing around on my Nook and ended up downloading some freebies that my friends had. Most of them have been fairly lousy, but they've been short. The latest one is this terrible cross between Twilight and the TV show Grimm, but it's a lot longer. I'm trying to make my way through it hoping there's some sort of payoff at the end. Are there any free books you like? Any you'd like to mock here?
Cashmere
Oh gosh, that sounds awful! I have discovered that many of the books that are free with my Prime membership are pretty okay though. I have learned to read the reviews carefully to avoid the conversion books.

pavonis
I like all the free textbooks I get with my faculty position; "examination copies" are great. Moving them sucks, though.
R.CAllen
Here are links to two books that are real books on paper you can buy but are ALSO available free legally on the Internet : Move Under Ground by Nick Mamatas. & Blindsight by Peter Watts. They're good. I recommend them.

Ryn
Kindle Unlimited is going to kill my older third-gen. I think I'll have to upgrade for Christmas.
